Abstract
Companies are expecting a good quality product. PT SIMP produces a sachet margarine which, the quality of it's product is monitored by Quality Control Departemen to produces a products that are fit to the specification. Sampling is one of activity in quality monitoring process. The problem occurs when the sample that are taken is out of specification which mean losses to the company. To make the sampling process more efficient, the research is accomplished by measuring standard time using Stopwatch Time Study Methode and analyzing business activity using Business Process Improvement to providing suggestion for sampling point. After data collection is carried out, five stages are obtained for sampling work through product finish and product waste is present because the sample tested experiences outspec. Standard time for product sampling in finish product obtained from the calculation is 2275.50s with 1190 sachets of pruduct wasted. The activity and streamling is analyzed which resulting suggestion to make a premix tank as a sampling point, standard time for sampling in the suggested sampling point is 1759.55s with no product wasted (zero waste).. Keywords: Efficiency, Standard Time, Waste, Stopwatch Time Study Method, Business Process Improvement Method Di dalam suatu Perusahaan mengharapkan kualitas produk yang baik. PT. SIMP memproduksi margarin kemasan sachet dalam menjaga kualitas produknya diatur oleh departemen Quality Control untuk menyesuaikan spesifikasi yang telah ditentukan. Salah satu aktivitas dalam menjaga kualitas yang baik dengan melakukan pengambilan sampel. Namun didalam pengambilan sampel masih ada kendala jika sampel yang diambil ternyata outspec dan memiliki waste produk, akan merugikan perusahaan. Agar pekerjaan pengambilan sampel tersebut lebih efisien maka dilakukan penelitian dengan menghitung waktu bakunya terlebih dahulu dengan metode Stopwatch Time Study kemudian dianalisis aktivitasnya dengan menggunakan metode Business Process Imporvement lalu memberikan saran dengan mengganti letak pengambilan sampel. Setelah dilakukan pengambilan data, didapat lima tahapan untuk pekerjaan pengambilan sampel melalui finish product dan terdapat waste produk karena sampel yang diuji mengalami outspec. Selanjutnya dilakukan pengolahan data waktu baku pengambilan sampel melalui finish product dengan hasil sebesar 2275.50 detik dan memiliki waste produk sebanyak 1190 sachet. Kemudian hasil tersebut dianalisis aktivitas dan streamling nya yang menghasilkan usulan yaitu melakukan pengambilan sampel melalui premix tank, yang waktu bakunya telah dihitung dan didapat sebesar 1759.99 detik dan tidak mendapatkan waste produk (zero waste) jika mengalami outspec.
