Abstract

The increasingly rapid competition in the industrial world requires companies to improve efficiency. One of the factors that can affect the ineffectiveness and efficiency of productivity is the existence of activities that do not add value (waste). Problems in the production process of shrink label Teh Javana PT. X is the accumulation of semi-finished goods (bottleneck) due to the difference in cycle times between work stations. Waste identification is done by integrating VSM and VALSAT. The analysis phase is carried out using WRM and WAQ tools and determines recommendations for improvement using Fishbone tools. Based on the VALSAT analysis, it was found that the 3 biggest wastes were motion (20.37%), transportation (17.79%), and inventory (17.18%), which had 6 wasteful activities. After making improvements with the Line Balancing Method and improvement activities, it was found that the cycle time decreased from 4458.9 seconds to 4219.5 seconds. Thus, increasing capacity efficiency from 84.19% to 89.29%. This shows that the effect of decreasing cycle time can increase capacity and increase the resulting output. Keywords: VSM, VALSAT, WRM, WAQ, Line Balancing, Fish Bone Semakin pesatnya persaingan dunia industri,menuntut perusahaan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi. Salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi tidak efektif dan efisiennya produktivitas ialah adanya kegiatan yang tidak bernilai tambah (waste). Permasalahan pada proses produksi shrink label Teh Javana PT. X adalah terjadinya penumpukan barang setengah jadi (bottleneck) dikarenakan perbedaan waktu siklus antar stasiun kerja. Pengidentifikasian pemborosan dilakukan dengan mengintegrasikan VSM dan VALSAT. Tahap analisa dilakukan menggunakan tools WRM dan WAQ serta menentukan rekomendasi perbaikan menggunakan tools Fishbone. Berdasarkan analisa VALSAT, ditemukan 3 pemborosan terbesar yaitu motion (20.37%), Transportation (17.79%), dan Inventory(17.18%) yang memiliki 6 aktivitas pemborosan. Setelah dilakukan perbaikan dengan Metode Line Balancing dan aktivitas improvement, diperoleh penurunan cycle time dari semula 4458.9 detik menurun menjadi 4219.5 detik. Sehingga meningkatkan effisiensi kapasitas dari 84.19% menjadi 89.29%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh cycle time yang menurun dapat meningkatkan kapasitas dan meningkatkan output yang dihasilkan.
