Abstract
Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) is the Telecommunication Technology which known as wireless broadband access with high speed exchanging information. WLAN technology could be realized well, if it supported by transmission hardware that reliable in processing transmission data, including the presence of an amplifier on the transceiver device which functions as power amplifier that met the required power. In this thesis, a filter will be designed as the part of WLAN system, that works in Indonesian’s UHF Frequency (2.4 – 2.483 GHz). Filter made in Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) with Broadside Coupled Complementary Split-Ring Resonator (BC-CSRR) as resonator to makes this filter operated below cut off frequency (2.4 GHz). That method will makes the proposed filter has the advantages compact size. This Project produced a prototype of bandpass filter operated below cut off frequency 2350 MHz - 2560 MHz, middle frequency 2455 MHz, insertion loss 1.1 dB, return loss 10.9 dB, and bandwidth 210 MHz. This thesis to be expected could be refrence in realization method development of SIW BC-CSRR also its learning in microwave transfer data in the field. Keywords : WLAN, Bandpass Filter, Substrate Integrated Waveguide, Broadside Coupled Complementary Split-Ring Resonator. ireless Local Area Network adalah teknologi akses wireless broadband berkecepatan tinggi untuk pertukaran informasi. Teknologi WLAN dapat di realisasikan dengan baik, apabila di dukung perangkat transmisi yang handal untuk proses transmisi data. Termasuk di antaranya adalah keberadaan sebuah amplifier pada perangkat transceiver, yang berfungsi sebagai penguat daya, agar daya yang dubutuhkan terpenuhi. Pada tugas akhir ini akan dirancang suatu bandpass filter sebagai bagian dari sistem WLAN, yang bekerja pada frekuensi UHF yang biasa digunakan di Indonesia, yaitu 2,4 – 2,483 GHz. Filter dibuat dalam bentuk mikrostrip dengan model Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) kemudian ditambahkan Broadside Coupled Complementary Split-Ring Resonator (BC-CSRR) sebagai resonator agar filter berkerja dibawah frekuensi cut off menjadi 2.4 Ghz. Dengan metode tersebut dapat menghasilkan dimensi filter yang lebih kecil. Proyek Akhir ini menghasilkan prototype bandpass filter yang bekerja dibawah frekuensi cut off 2350 MHz - 2560 MHz, frekuensi tengah 2455 MHz, insertion loss (S21) 1,1 dB, return loss (S11) 10,9 dB, dan bandwidth sebesar 210 MHz. Diharapkan Proyek Akhir ini bisa menjadi acuan untuk realisasi pengembangan metode SIW BC-CSRR serta pembelajaran dalam bidang transfer gelombang mikro.
