Abstract
PT GT is an industrial company which engaged in manufacturing of passenger car tires. To ensure the quality of the products produced, companies apply various kinds of product inspections, one of them is an inspection of the product's visual condition or what is called appearance inspection. In order to increase the efficiency of the company, the company plans to increase the efficiency of operational costs where the main point that it wants to be efficient is the high overtime rate. One of the contributors to the highest overtime rate is the appearance inspection section, where this condition is thought to be caused by a lack of human resources (HR) on 2 lines. For this reason, it is necessary to evaluate the number of human resources needed in the appearance inspection area using the workload analysis method on the inspector in the appearance inspection area. From the results of data processing that has been collected, it is known that an inspector with current inspection needs has a workload of 99.45% and the required appearance inspectors on one line are 2 people when a workload of one line is 198.9%. Thus, the current actual condition (37 inspectors per shift) needs to be added by 2 inspectors per shift so that the number of inspectors needed for the needs of 4 groups is 156 inspectors. Based on these data, the author's recommendation to reduce the number of overtime is to analyze the workload of all units at PT GT to find out if there are other units that can reduce the number of workers and then be transferred to cover the shortage of manpower in the appearance inspection area so as to reduce the overtime number. Keywords : Workload, Man Power, Inspector, Productivity PT GT merupakan perusahaan industri yang bergerak di bidang manufaktur ban mobil pribadi (passenger car). Untuk menjamin kualitas produk yang dihasilkan, perusahaan menerapkan berbagai macam nspeksi produk, salah satunya adalah inspeksi kondisi visual produk atau yang disebut appearance inspection. Dalam rangka untuk meningkatan efisiensi perusahaan, perusahaan berencana untuk meningkatkan efisiensi biaya operasional dimana poin utama yang ingin diefisiensikan adalah tingginya angka overtime. Salah satu penyumbang angka overtime tertinggi adalah bagian appearance inspection, dimana kondisi ini diduga disebabkan oleh kurangnya sumber daya manusia (SDM) pada 2 line. Untuk itu, perlu adanya evaluasi kebutuhan jumlah SDM pada area appearance inspection dengan menggunakan metode analisis beban kerja pada inspektor di area appearance inspection. Dari hasil pengolahan data yang sudah dikumpulkan, diketahui bahwa seorang inspektor dengan kebutuhan inspeksi saat ini memiliki beban kerja sebesar 99.45% dan jumlah inspektor appearance inspector yang dibutuhkan pada satu line adalah 2 orang dengan beban kerja satu line adalah 198.9%. Dengan demikian, kondisi aktual yang ada saat ini (37 inspektor pershift) perlu ditambahkan 2 orang inspektor setiap shift-nya sehingga jumlah inspektor yang diperlukan untuk kebutuhan 4 group adalah 156 inspektor. Berdasarkan data tersebut, rekomendasi penulis untuk mengurangi angka overtime adalah untuk melakukan analisis beban kerja ke seluruh unit di PT GT untuk mengetahui apakah ada unit lain yang dapat dikurangi jumlah tenaga kerjanya untuk kemudian dialihkan untuk menutupi kekurangan tenaga kerja di area appearance inspection sehingga dapat mengurangi angka overtime.
