Abstract
Perusahaan Sparepart Otomotif (PTGT) is a manufacturing company engaged in the automotive sector, especially tires. One of the divisions, Plant C, produces tires in cars. Machines used in the production process include Banbury Mixing (CBM), Extruder (CXE), Splicing (CXS), and Curing (CXC) machines. However, of all the machines, the CXS engine suffered the biggest damage, causing the production process not to reach the target. Therefore it is necessary to have research on the level of machine effectiveness, losses that occur and to find the root causes of the problems that occur. The research was conducted on the CXS-5 machine because of the 8 CXS machines, the CXS-5 had the highest downtime rate, so its effectiveness needed to be analyzed. The research begins by measuring the level of machine effectiveness using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method, which is then followed by measuring six big losses to determine the losses that occur in the machine, then using a causal diagram can analyze the actual problem which is the main cause of losses. happened to the Building machine. The average Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) value of the CXS-5 machine for the period August 2019 - July 2020 is 63.7%, where this value has not met Plant C standards of 75% and international standards of 85%. The largest average of losses is found in reduced speed losses, which is 45.9%. The root cause of the problem of not achieving the OEE value is the slow cutting and butting process so it is necessary to make improvements by reducing the cutting and butting process time by 38.9% and 45.5% so that the processing time is in accordance with the standard. Keywords: OEE, Six Big Losses, CXS-5 Perusahaan Sparepart Otomotif (PTGT) merupakan perusahaan manufaktur yang bergerak dibidang otomotif khususnya ban. Salah satu divisi yaitu Plant C memproduksi ban dalam mobil. Mesin yang digunakan dalam proses produksinya meliputi mesin Banbury Mixing (CBM), Extruder (CXE), Splicing (CXS), dan Curing (CXC). Namun, dari semua mesin yang ada, mesin CXS mengalami kerusakan terbesar sehingga menyebabkan proses produksi tidak mencapai target. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya penelitian mengenai tingkat efektivitas mesin, losses yang terjadi serta mencari akar penyebab permasalahan yang terjadi. Penelitian dilakukan pada mesin CXS-5 karena dari 8 mesin CXS, CXS-5 memiliki tingkat downtime yang paling tinggi, sehingga tingkat efektivitasnya perlu dianalisis. Penelitian dimulai dengan mengukur tingkat efektivitas mesin dengan mengguanakan Metode Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) yang kemudian dilanjutkan dengan pengukuran six big losses untuk mengetahui kerugian (losses) yang terjadi pada mesin, kemudian dengan diagram sebab akibat dapat dianalisis masalah sebenarnya yang menjadi penyebab utama losses yang terjadi pada mesin Building. Nilai rata-rata Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) mesin CXS-5 periode Agustus 2019 – Juli 2020 sebesar 63,7%, dimana nilai ini belum memenuhi standar Plant C 75% serta standar internasional sebesar 85%. Rata-rata losses yang terbesar terdapat pada reduced speed losses yaitu sebesar 45,9%. Akar penyebab permasalahan tidak tercapainya nilai OEE yaitu Proses cutting dan butting lambat sehingga perlu melakukan perbaikan dengan mengurangi waktu proses cutting dan butting sebesar 38,9% dan 45,5% agar waktu proses sesuai standar.
