Abstract

From several quality control programs that have been done by PT Pratapa Nirmala Fahrenheit has not had a maximum impact on the quality of the product produced, proven number of rejects on Renadinac Tablet is still outside the limit set by the company is 0.5%. Therefore, the company must promptly evaluate and repair the ongoing production process. The method used in this research is the Seven Tools and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) method to identify and analyze failures that occur during the production process. The purpose of this research is to analyze the factors causing the reject, as well as make improvements to reduce the number of rejects. In this study there were eight modes of failure but the authors only focus on the three highest failure modes. Based on the calculation of the Risk Priority Number (RPN), there are 3 highest RPN values. Failure Mode with the highest RPN value of the condition punchies are used continuously with a weight of 448, then the bulk size is too large with a weight of 343, then the lubrication process is less precise with a weight of 216. The improvement efforts made to overcome the above problems include: cleaning and grinding tools on the punchies, modifying the size of the sieve into a 200 mesh, adding Mg Stearate as a lubriming material. After the repair, the number of rejects cracking Renadinac tablets was reduced from the previous 1732 Pcs to 612 Pcs. Dari beberapa program pengendalian kualitas yang sudah dilakukan oleh PT Pratapa Nirmala Fahrenheit belum berdampak maksimal terhadap kualitas produk yang dihasilkan, terbukti jumlah reject pada Renadinac Tablet masih berada diluar batas yang telah ditetapkan oleh perusahaan yaitu 0.5%. Oleh karena itu perusahaan harus segera melakukan evaluasi dan perbaikan terhadap proses produksi yang berlangsung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Seven Tools dan metode Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisa kegagalan yang terjadi selama proses produksi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisa faktor-faktor penyebab reject, serta melakukan perbaikan untuk mengurangi jumlah reject. Pada penelitian ini terdapat delapan mode kegagalan namun penulis hanya fokus kepada tiga mode kegagalan tertinggi. Berdasarkan perhitungan nilai Risk Priority Number (RPN) terdapat 3 nilai RPN tertinggi. Mode kegagalan dengan nilai RPN tertinggi kondisi punchies yg digunakan terus-menerus dengan bobot 448, selanjutnya ukuran bulk terlalu besar dengan bobot 343, lalu proses lubrikasi yang kurang tepat dengan bobot 216. Upaya perbaikan yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi permasalahan diatas antara lain: pembersihan dan pengasahan tools pada punchies, memodifikasi ukuran ayakan menjadi mesh 200, menambah Mg Stearate sebagai bahan lubrikan. Setelah dilakukan perbaikan, jumlah reject cracking Renadinac tablet berkurang dari sebelumnya 1732 pcs menjadi 612 pcs.
