Abstract
Productivity and product quality is a very important aspect of a company. Along with the development of the era and technology, a company is required to carry out strategies in increasing effectiveness and efficiency. PT XYZ is a company engaged in the plastics industry One of the products produced is water and chemical tanks which are processed from plastic ores using an extuder machine. The smooth production is a very important factor for the company because if the process is hampered it will cause material shortages and reduced production so that it cannot provide the product to the customer on time. In this study, measurements were made to analyze the level of machine effectiveness calculated by the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Overall Production Effectiveness (OPE) methods. OEE value obtained on average in August 2019 - February 2020 is 60.66% and the average OPE value at the same time is 51.83%. The six big losses factor that influences is idling and minor stoppages losses taking a proportion of 33% of the available time. Proposed suggested improvements are operator training for minor damage, more routine preventive maintenance, regular component replacement, and preparation of raw materials to be processed. Keywords : Extruder machine, OEE, OPE, Six big losse, Preventive maintenance. Produktivitas dan kualitas produk merupakan aspek yang sangat penting dalam suatu perusahaan. Seiring dengan perkembangan jaman dan teknologi maka suatu perusahaan dituntut untuk melakukan strategi dalam meningkatkan efektifitas dan melakukan efesiensi. PT XYZ merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang industri plastik, produk yang dihasilkan salah satunya adalah tangki air dan kimia yang diproses dari biji bahan plastik menggunakan mesin extuder. Kelancaran produksi merupakan faktor yang sangat penting bagi perusahaan karena jika proses terhambat maka akan menyebabkan kekurangan bahan dan berkurangya produksi sehingga tidak dapat menyediakan produk kepada konsumen tepat waktu. Pada penelitian ini pengukuran dilakukan untuk menganalisis tingkat efektivitas mesin dihitung dengan metode Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) dan Overall Production Effectiveness (OPE). Nilai OEE yang didapatkan rata-rata pada bulan Agustus 2019 – Februari 2020 adalah 60,66% dan rata-rata nilai OPE pada waktu yang sama adalah 51,83%. Faktor six big losses yang berpengaruh adalah idling and minor stoppages losses mengambil porsi 33% dari waktu yang tersedia. Usulan perbaikan yang disarankan adalah melakukan pelatihan kepada operator untuk kerusakan kecil, menerapkan preventive maintenance lebih rutin, penggantian komponen teratur, dan persipan bahan baku yang akan di proses.
