Abstract

The design of a solar cell hand wash water heater aims to prevent the transmission of the COVID 19 outbreak. Using a higher water temperature will have a more significant impact, namely the result is cleaner than using cold or normal temperature water. The increase in the body's immune system occurs because the flow of warm temperature water will facilitate the flow of blood from the nerve points on the hands when washing hands using this tool and has the opportunity to kill microorganisms (germs or bacteria) that stick to the surface of the palms. With the development of renewable energy in this study using solar cells as a generator (generator) of energy that is environmentally friendly and portable to facilitate operating mobility. In this study, the results of water temperature regulation were obtained according to the recommendation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia to use warm water 37 - 40 °C as a hydrotherapy medium in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID 19 to facilitate blood flow, an ergonomic design and more efficient energy use. Keywords : Prevention, COVID 19, renewable energy, environmentally friendly, portable.
