Abstract

Indonesia's tectonic conditions, which are located at the confluence of the world's large plates and several small plates or microblocks (Bird, 2003), cause the area to require most earthquakes. One solution is to minimize earthquakes by using system isolation in building structures. In this thesis will be discussed regarding the response of buildings between structures that use a fixed base system and structures that use isolation bases due to earthquake forces. The earthquake used was the earthquake in the Bengkulu area with soil made from the soft soil (SE) using response spectra according to SNI 1726-2012, in the analysis using the ETABS v.17 program. For the type of base isolator product taken from the Bridgestone Seismic Isolation Product Line Up catalog. From the analysis the results are: 120 mm and 150 mm thickness of plates, beam dimensions using 500 x 900, 450 x 800 and 250 x 500, column dimensions using 800 x 1250, 800 x 800, 500 x 500 and 300 x 300, shearwall thickness using 400 mm and also dimensions of the base isolators are HL085X6R, HL100X6R and HL130X6R types, in addition a structural period for the base isolation system is longer than the fixed base structure system so as to reduce the earthquake velocity of the structure and reduce the story drift between floors. Kondisi tektonik Indonesia yang terletak pada pertemuan lempeng besar dunia dan beberapa lempeng kecil atau microblocks (Bird, 2003), menyebabkan daerah tersebut berpotensi mengalami banyak kejadian gempa. Salah satu solusi untuk meminimalisir dampak buruk akibat gempa adalah dengan penggunaan system base isolation pada struktur bangunan. Dalam tugas akhir ini akan dibahas mengenai respon bangunan antar struktur yang menggunakan system fixed base pada tumpuan dan struktur yang menggunakan base isolation akibat gaya gempa. Gempa yang digunakan adalah gempa pada daerah Bengkulu dengan kondisi tanah adalah tanah lunak (SE) dengan menggunakan analisa respon spectra sesuai dengan SNI 1726 – 2012, dalam analisa ini menggunakan bantuan program ETABS v.17. untuk tipe produk base isolator diambil dari katalog Bridgestone Seismic Isolation Product Line-up. Dari analisa diperoleh hasil yaitu : Tebal Pelat 120 mm dan 150 mm, dimensi balok 500 x 900, 450 x 800 dan 250 x 500, dimensi kolom 800 x 1250, 800 x 800, 500 x 500 dan 300 x 300 tebal shearwall 400mm serta dimensi base isolator yang digunakan adalah tipe HL085X6R, HL100X6R dan HL130X6R, selain itu didapatkan periode struktur pada system base isolation lebih panjang dari system struktur fixed base sehingga mereduksi kecepatan gempa pada struktur dan mereduksi simpangan antar lantai.
