Abstract

A highway is a construction on the surface of the earth with a certain type and size that functions to connect one area to another. Most areas in Indonesia, road infrastructure is still dominated by flexible pavement using asphalt. On the other hand, the higher the price of the material for the asphalt mixture and seeing the potential chemical content of organic waste from coconut husk and rice husks that are turned into the ash can be used as a filler in the asphalt mixture. The purpose of this study was to use coconut husk ash and rice husk ash as a filler in the asphalt mixture to determine its effect through Marshall testing. Research on the AC-WC layer used the warm mix asphalt method and tested the immersion for 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 24 hours and combined several variations in the ratio of coconut husk ash filler and rice husk ash with a percentage (0% -100%), through Marshall testing can determine the characteristics of the asphalt mixture, the values obtained are VIM (Void in Mix), VMA (Void in Aggregate Material), Melt (Flow), Marshall Stability (Marshall Stability), MQ (Marshall Quotient). After carrying out the Marshal test, it was found that the optimum asphalt content was 6.69% which was used as the mix design filler asphalt content. The highest stability value for the content of the filler ratio was obtained in the variation of coconut husk ash 75% and rice husk ash 25% with a value of 1448.49 at 60 minutes of water bath at 60 ° C. Keywords: AC-WC, filler, organic waste, coconut husk ash, rice husk ash Jalan raya merupakan suatu konstruksi di atas tanah permukaan bumi dengan jenis dan ukuran tertentu yang berfungsi untuk menghubungkan satu wilayah dengan wilayah lainnya. Sebagaian besar wilayah di Indonesia, infrastuktur jalan masih didominasi oleh perkerasan lentur menggunakan aspal. Disisi lain semakin mahalnya harga material untuk campuran aspal dan melihat potensi kandungan kimiawi dari limbah organik sabut kelapa dan sekam padi yang dijadikan abu bisa digunakan sebagai filler pada campuran aspal. Tujuan penelitian ini dengan menggunakan abu sabut kelapa dan abu sekam padi sebagai filler pada campuran aspal untuk mengetahui pengaruhnya melalui pengujian marshall. Penelitian pada lapisan AC-WC menggunakan metode warm mix asphalt dan menguji pada perendaman 30 menit, 60 menit, 24 jam serta melakukan penggabungan dari beberapa variasi kadar perbandingan filler abu sabut kelapa dan abu sekam padi dengan presentase (0%-100%), melalui pengujian marshall dapat mengetahui karakteristik campuran aspal, nilai yang didapatkan yaitu VIM (Void in Mix), VMA (Void in Material Agregate), Kelelehan (Flow), Stabilitas Marshall (Marshall Stability), MQ (Marshall Quotient). Setelah melakukan uji marshal didapat kadar aspal optimum 6,69% yang digunakan sebagai kadar aspal mix design filler. Nilai stabilitas tertinggi untuk kadar perbandingan filler didapat pada variasi abu sabut kelapa 75% dan abu sekam padi 25% dengan nilai 1448,49 pada perendaman waterbath 60 menit dengan suhu 60°C.
