Abstract
The use of V-belt transmission systems has been widely used in the industry because it has many advantages including: easy installation, low maintenance costs and the ability to transmit maximum power and speed. However, V-belt transmissions often experience tension belt abnormalities such as misalignment, unbalance and looseness in the V-belt. Many methods of monitoring the condition of equipment, one of which is the vibration method. Vibration method is very good to be used as an early indicator of damage to engine components before more severe damage occurs. On the basis of the above, in this study conducted an experiment with the vibration analysis method to determine the effect of motor rotation on the belt tension on the 11 kW Screw Compressor. Data is collected by using the FFT Analyzer, then the data is processed using Matlab. The variation of rotation is 1000 rpm, 2000 rpm, and 3000 rpm. The results of data management show that the peak frequencyS in the V-belt damaged condition appears more than the V-belt in good condition. It also shows signs of abnormalities caused by unbalance, misaligment and looseness, this is indicated by the appearance of peak frequency in 1x RPM, 2x RPM, and 3x RPM at 2000 rpm and 3000 rpm rotation. Keywords: Transmission system, V-belt, voltage, rotation variations Penggunaan sistem transmisi V-belt telah banyak digunakan pada industri, hal ini dikarena memiliki banyak kelebihan antara lain: instalasinya mudah, biaya perawatan yang rendah serta memiliki kemampuan dalam mentransmisikan daya dan kecepatan maksimal. Akan tetapi transmisi V-belt sering mengalami gejala ketidaknormalan (tension belt) seperti misalignment, unbalance dan kelonggaran pada V-belt. Banyak metode monitoring kondisi peralatan-peralatan, salah satunya adalah metode getaran. Metode getaran sangat baik untuk dijadikan sebagai indikator dini kerusakan pada komponen mesin sebelum terjadi kerusakan yang lebih parah. Atas dasar tersebut diatas, pada pelitian ini dilakukan eksperiment dengan metode analisis getaran untuk mengetahui pengaruh putaran motor terhadap level getaran yang ada pada Screw Compressor 11 kW. Pengambilan data dilakukan dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat FFT Analyzer, selanjutnya data tersebut diolah dengan menggunakan Matlab. Adapun variasi putaran yang digunakan yaitu 1000 rpm, 2000 rpm, dan 3000 rpm. Hasil pengolahan data menunjukan puncak frekuensi pada V-belt kondisi rusak muncul lebih banyak dari pada V-belt kondisi baik. Selain itu juga diperlihatkan tanda-tanda gejala ketidaknormalan yang disebabkan oleh unbalance, misaligment dan kelonggaran. Hal tersebut ditandai dengan munculnya puncak frekuensi dalam 1x RPM, 2x RPM, dan 3x RPM pada putaran 2000 rpm dan 3000 rpm. Kata Kunci: Sistem transmisi, V-belt, tegangan, variasi putaran.
