Abstract

Pressure vessels are widely applied to various industrial sectors (petrochemical plants), energy (power plants), oil and gas (oil & gas plants) and the industrial sector in general. Is the thickness of the shell, head, nozzle, and support in accordance with the results of manual calculations. The purpose of this analysis Knowing and understanding vertical pressure vessel design calculations and can understand the code used in the calculation so that it can be applied in the field. The shape of the pressure vessel designed must take into account the function, aesthetic value and working environment of the vessel. Loads that occur in vessels include design pressure, deadweight of dead vessels, wind loads, earthquake loads and combination loads. To design pressure vessels, ASME Section VIII standard codes are used. Division I. For the calculation of the thickness of the shell, head, nozzle, and support using Microsoft Excel software or called manual calculation. The results of calculations from manual calculations show differences in shell thickness, head, nozzle, and support. Shell thickness 1: 13mm, shell thickness 2: 16mm, shell thickness 3: 16mm, top head thickness: 13mm, bot head thickness: 16mm, nozzle thickness: 6mm, skirt thickness: 22mm. Keywords: Pressure vessel, PV Elite Bejana tekan banyak diaplikasikan pada berbagai macam sektor industri (petrochemical plant), energi (power plant), minyak dan gas (oil & gas plant) serta sektor industri pada umumnya. Apakah tebal shell , head , nozzle, dan support sudah sesuai dengan hasil perhitungan manual. Tujuan analisis ini Mengetahui dan memahami perhitungan desain pressure vessel vertikal serta dapat memahami kode yang digunakan dalam perhitungan sehingga dapat diaplikasikan dilapangan. Bentuk bejana tekan yang dirancang harus mempertimbangkan fungsi, nilai estetika dan lingkungan kerja bejana. Beban yang terjadi pada bejana antara lain teknan desain, bobot mati mati bejana, beban angin, beban karena gempa dan beban kombinasi. Untuk merancang bejana tekan (pressure vessel) digunakan standar code ASME Section VIII. Division I. Untuk perhitungannya tebal shell, head, nozzle, dan support menggunakan software microsoft excel atau disebut manual calculation. Hasil dari perhitungan dari pada manual calculation menunjukan perbedaan pada tebal shell, head, nozzle, dan support. Tebal shell 1 : 13mm , tebal shell 2 : 16mm , tebal shell 3 : 16mm , tebal top head : 13mm , tebal bot head : 16mm , tebal nozzle : 6mm , tebal skirt : 22mm.
