Abstract
Action figures are the character toys that pose. Action figures often adopt characters from movies, comics, and video games. As of today, the world of action figures has developed, many action figure designers now do not only adapt characters from films, comics, and video games, but also create other variety of characters such as political figures, characters who are viral, imaginative characters, and legendary characters. In this proposal the writer wants to create an action figure inspired from one of the region in Indonesia, called as the sigale-gale character from northern Sumatra. Sigale-gale is a wooden statue used in dance performances during the burial rituals of Batak tribes. In making the sigale-gale action figure, the writer changes the shape of the sigale-gale to resemble a chibi without removing the sigale-gale character. Action figure sering mengadptasi karakter dari film, komik, dan video game. Semakin berkembangnya dunia action figure, desainer action figure tidak hanya mengadaptasi karakter dari film, komik dan video game saja tetapi membuat bermacam-macam karakter seperti tokoh politik, tokoh yang sedang viral, karakter imaginasi dan karakter legenda. Pada perancangan ini penulis ingin membuat action figure dengan karakter yang berasal dari daerah di Indonesia yaitu karakter sigale-gale dari sumatra utara. Sigale�gale ialah patung kayu yang digunakan dalam pertunjukan tari saat ritual penguburan mayat suku Batak. Pada pembuatan action figure sigale-gale penulis mengubah bentuk sigale-gale menyerupai chibi tanpa menghilangkan karakter sigale-gale tersebut.
