Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of KAP Size, Financial Distress and Company Age on Audit Delay in manufacturing companies of the food and beverage sub-sector listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange in the period 2015-2017. Audit delay is the time required by the auditor to audit financial statements from the date the company book closes. The study sample consisted of 14 companies with a total of 42 observational data. The sampling method is done using purposive sampling. The hypothesis testing method used is multiple regression analysis. The results of this study partially show the KAP Size variable and have a negative effect on Audit Delay. While the Financial Distress and Age Age variables do not affect Audit Delay. The results of the study in the suitability of the model indicate that the size of KAP, Financial Distress and Age of the Company have a positive influence on Audit Delay. Keywords: KAP Size, Financial Distress, and Company Age Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Ukuran KAP, Financial Distress dan Umur Perusahaan terhadap Audit Delay pada perusahaan-perusahaan manufaktur sub sektor makanan dan minuman yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indinesia periode tahun 2015-2017. Audit delay adalah waktu yang dibutuhkan oleh auditor untuk mengaudit laporan keuangan sejak tanggal tutup buku perusahaan. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 14 perusahaan dengan jumlah pengamatan sebanyak 42 data pengamatan. Metode pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan purposive sampling. Metode pengujian hipotesis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian ini secara parsial menunjukkan variabel Ukuran KAP dan berpengaruh negatif terhadap Audit Delay. Sedangkan variabel Financial Distress dan Umur Perusahaan tidak berpengaruh terhadap Audit Delay. Hasil penelitian secara kesesuaian model menunjukkan bahwa Ukuran KAP, Financial Distress dan Umur Perusahaan memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap Audit Delay.
