Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of self-esteem and anxiety on stress through personal adjustments with transvestite case studies in DKI Jakarta. The population in this study were 1,206 transvestites in DKI Jakarta. The sample used was 158 transvestites, calculated based on the minimum number of representative samples, of the 29 indicators used. The method of data collection uses a survey method, with research instruments being questionnaires. Data analysis method uses Partial Least Square. This study proves that self-esteem has a positive and not significant effect on personal adjustment. Anxiety has a positive and significant effect on personal adjustment. Personal adjustment has a negative and significant effect on stress. Keywords : Self-Esteem, Anxiety, Personal Adjustment, Stress, Waria (Transgender). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh self-esteem dan anxiety terhadap stress melalui personal adjustment dengan studi kasus waria di DKI Jakarta. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 1.206 orang waria di DKI Jakarta. Sampel yang diperginaka adalah sebanyak 158 waria, dihitung berdasarkan jumlah sampel minimum yang representative yaitu dari 29 indikator yang digunakan. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode survey, dengan instrument penelitian adalah kuisioner. Metode analisis data menggunakan Partial Least Square. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa self-esteem berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap personal adjustment. Anxiety berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap personal adjustment. Personal adjustment berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap stress. Kata Kunci: Self-Esteem, Anxiety, Personal Adjustment, Stress, Waria (Transgender).
