Abstract
Management is a very important thing so that everything can be planned, organized, directed and controlled. At this time, a person is demanded to be able to manage his time as efficiently as possible, both in personal and work matters. This change causes practical demands in responding to personal needs, for example in terms of washing clothes and ironing. With this, slowly began to develop a service that provides convenience in terms of washing clothes, which is called laundry services. The number of customers who use laundry services, making the company overwhelmed in managing the laundry business, so that the order recording is not neat and often there are errors in recording orders and errors in the calculation of laundry costs to be paid by customers, including also determining the laundry queue in the washing process. The purpose of the research is to design a laundry management application using the heap sort algorithm so as to facilitate the operational activities of the laundry business. The results of this study are ensuring that all the features in the application can run and can be used properly to help the laundry business process that exists today. Keywords: Management, laundry, application, queue, heap sort Manajemen merupakan suatu hal yang sangat penting agar segala sesuatunya dapat terencana, terorganisasi, terarah dan terkontrol. Pada saat ini, seseorang dituntut agar dapat mengatur waktunya seefisien mungkin, baik dalam urusan pribadi maupun urusan pekerjaan. Perubahan ini menyebabkan adanya tuntutan kepraktisan dalam menjawab kebutuhan pribadi, misalnya dalam hal mencuci pakaian dan menyetrika. Dengan adanya hal ini, maka perlahan-lahan mulai berkembanglah suatu pelayanan jasa yang memberikan kemudahan dalam hal pencucian pakaian, yang disebut dengan jasa laundry. Banyaknya pelanggan yang menggunakan jasa laundry, membuat perusahaan kewalahan dalam mengelola usaha laundry, sehingga pencatatan order kurang rapi dan sering terjadi kesalahan dalam pencatatan order maupun kesalahan dalam perhitungan biaya laundry yang harus dibayar oleh para pelanggan termasuk juga menentukan antrian laundry dalam proses pencucian. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian adalah untuk merancang sebuah aplikasi manajemen laundry menggunakan algoritma heap sort sehingga dapat memperlancar kegiatan operasional usaha laundry. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu memastikan semua fitur yang ada pada aplikasi dapat berjalan dan bisa digunakan dengan baik untuk membantu proses bisnis laundry yang ada saat ini.
