Abstract
Indonesia merupakan salah satu dari tiga negara terbesar yang memiliki keanekaragaman flora dan fauna. fauna indonesia memiliki keanekaragaman yang tinggi karena wilayahnya yang luas dan berbentuk kepulauan tropis. terkait dengan banyaknya keanekaragaman yang hayati yang dimiliki indonesia khususnya flora fauna dan usaha pelestariannya salah satu usaha yang dapat dilakukan untuk lebih memasyarakatkan upaya pelestarian tersebut adalah dengan mengenalkan kepada masyarakat terutama kaum muda usia anak dan remaja tentang flora dan fauna indonesia. Berkaitan dengan topik permasalahan yang telah dipilih, strategi pemecahan masalah melalui bidang desain produk yang dipilih oleh penulis di antaranya adalah melalui Action figure dan komik. Karakter yang akan penulis desain mengangkat hewan – hewan khas Indonesia yang yang terancam punah, yang sudah punah, atau pun belum punah, kemudian karakter tersebut akan di aktualisasikan kedalam bentuk cerita menarik kedalam komik dan dari beberapa karakter tersebut akan divisualkan menjadi action figure. Kata Kunci: Action figure indonesia, Hewan endemik indonesia, Karakter hewan. Indonesia is one of the three largest countries with a diversity of flora and fauna. Indonesian fauna has high diversity due to its wide area and the form of tropical islands. In connection with the large number of biodiversity that Indonesia has, especially flora and fauna, and efforts to preserve it, one of the efforts that can be made to further popularize these conservation efforts is to introduce to the community, especially young children and adolescents, about Indonesian flora and fauna. In connection with the topic of the problem that has been selected, the problem solving strategy through the field of product design chosen by the writer is through action figures and comics. The characters that the writer will design raise typical Indonesian animals that are endangered, extinct, or not yet extinct, then these characters will be actualized into interesting story forms into comics and some of these characters will be visualized into action figures.
