Abstract

The water treatment unit always has a TDS monitoring tool as well as a backwash control, but at this time, this tool can only be done manually on the spot. The technicians need time to do it and it is very inefficient. In this research, the development of this tool is carried out so that it can be monitored and controlled remotely so that the technician can be more optimal in repairing and also maintaining the water treatment unit. The possibility of damage that occurs can be reduced so that the filter replacement time can be extended to reduce maintenance costs of the processing unit itself. Therefore, good and strict maintenance and monitoring will produce processed water in a good quality that meets the standards that have been set. Gear box and DC motor are added as a replacement for technicians in backwashing. As part of the control processing using Arduino with the ESP 8266 module to be able to connect the device to the internet so that it can be controlled remotely using a smartphone. And as a TDS monitoring tool, the author will use a TDS gravity sensor that can be connected to Arduino so that the TDS value will be recognized by Arduino and transferred using the internet network. As a control on the smartphone, the auhor uses the Blynk application, which is easy to use. Keywords: TDS meter, backwash, remote control, arduino, esp 8266, TDS gravity sensor. Unit pengolahan air selalu mempunyai alat monitoring TDS dan juga kendali backwash, tetapi saat ini alat tersebut hanya bisa dilakukan manual di tempat sehingga teknisi membutuhkan waktu dan sangat tidak efisien dalam penggunaannya. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengembangan alat tersebut agar dapat di monitoring dan dikendalikan dari jarak jauhsehinggadiharapkan teknisi dapat lebih maksimal dalam melakukan perbaikan dan juga perawatan unit pengolahan air. Kerusakan yang terjadi dapat di kurangi kemungkinan terjadi sehingga waktu penggantian filter dapat diperpanjang untuk mengurangi biaya perawatan unit pengolahan itu sendiri. Oleh karena perawatan dan monitoring yang baik dan ketat akan menghasilkan air hasil olahan yang berkualitas baik memenuhi standart yang telah di tetapkan. Gear box dan juga motor DC ditambahkansebagai penggerak pengganti teknisi dalam melakukan backwash. Sebagai bagian pemprosesan kendali tersebut menggunakan Arduino dengan modul ESP 8266 untuk dapat meghubungkan alat dengan internet sehingga dapat di kendalikan dr jarak jauh menggunakan smartphone. Dan sebagai alat monitoring TDS penulis akan menggunakan sensor gravity TDS yang dapat terhubung dengan arduino sehingga nilai TDS akan dapat di kenali oleh arduino dan di tranfer menggunakan jaringan internet. sebagai kendali di smartphone penulis menggunakan aplikasi Blynk yang menurut penulis mudah dalam penggunaannya.
