Abstract
This research studies about a distribution case in an cigarette company that has high transportation cost. Setting delivering routes using Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) is one of method that applicable to increase the efficiency of transportation cost. The objective of VRP is to set delivering routes order so that its total distance can be minimize. In order to solve delivery problem in this cigarette company, VRP model was developed using Tabu Search algorithm. Tabu Search is one of metaheuristics class that works based on local search. The result of this research shows the improvement that reduce total distance traveled and transportation cost by 10,35% and 9,74% for one week of delivery (Monday to Friday). Key Words: Vehicle Routing Problem, Tabu Search, 0ptimization and Cost Efficiency Penelitian ini membahas mengenai kasus distribusi di suatu perusahaan cigarette yang memiliki biaya transportasi yang cukup tinggi. Penentuan rute distribusi dengan menggunakan Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) merupakan salah satu metode yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi biaya transportasi. Tujuan dari VRP adalah mengatur urutan rute pengiriman sehingga menghasilkan jarak tempuh total seminimal mungkin. Untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan pengiriman produk di perusahaan cigarette ini, maka dikembangkan model penyelesaian VRP dengan menggunakan algoritma Tabu Search. Tabu Search merupakan salah satu kelas metaheuristik yang berbasis pada pencarian lokal. Rute usulan hasil penelitian menghasilkan perbaikan, yaitu pengurangan jarak tempuh dan biaya transportasi sebesar 10,35% dan 9,74% untuk satu minggu pengiriman (Senin s/d Jumat). Kata Kunci: Vehicle Routing Problem, Tabu Search, Optimasi dan Efisiensi Biaya.
