Abstract
PT. Surya Toto Indonesia Tbk is one of the largest sanitary equipment manufacturers in Southeast Asia. The company manufactures various kinds of sanitary and fittings for domestic and foreign markets. The problem that occurs now is on lavatory products. Where the amount of lavatory production often does not reach the target set by the company to meet market demand. The problem that occurs at this time is in the assembly process. shows the time of spindle setting for 65 seconds. Longer than the standard time specified by the company. In the process method the Spindle setting is not supported by tools so that the setting process takes a long time. This causes a waiting process for other parts. Another cause is the difficulty of setting the spindle part which can also be dangerous which results in the accident operator due to driver usage. the method that can be used in designing the proposed basejig is Design For Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA). Base size is 15x8x5 cm. Keywords: Spindle, DFMA, Basejig PT. Surya Toto Indonesia Tbk merupakan salah satu produsen perlengkapan sanitary terbesar di Asia Tenggara. Perusahaan ini memproduksi bermacam-macam perlengkapan sanitary dan fitting untuk pasar dalam dan luar negeri. Permasalahan yang terjadi saat ini adalah pada produk lavatory. Dimana jumlah produksi lavatory sering tidak mencapai target yang telah ditentukan oleh perusaahan untuk memenuhi permintaan pasar.Problem yang terjadi saat ini pada proses assembly. menunjukan waktu setting spindle selama 65 detik.Lebih lama di banding standar waktu yang sudah ditentukan oleh perusahaan. Pada metode proses setting Spindle tidak didukung oleh alat bantu sehingga proses setting memakan waktu yang cukup lama. Hal ini menyebabkan terjadi waiting process terhadap part lainnya.Penyebab lainnya adanya kesulitan setting part spindle yang juga dapat membahayakan yang mengakibatkan accident operator karena penggunaan driver. metode yang dapat digunakan dalam meranacang usulan basejig yaitu dengan Design For Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA).ukuran basejig 15x8x5 cm.
