Abstract

Natural lighting is one of the most essential part of a building, including in mosque. Mosque as a comfort worship place for muslims should provide comfort as maximum as possible for the worshipers. One of the factors is the quality of lighting. This study intends to evaluate the natural lighting of Masjid Raya Al’Azhom Tangerang through the measurement of the natural lighting level. In this study, the researcher used quantitative method by calculating the intensity of natural lighting in women’s prayer room using lux meter. The measurements were done by dividing twenty-five measurement points from the effective field of the light hole. The result shows that the light intensity in women’s prayer room has not met the standard of lighting SNI 03-6197-2011. Keyword: Natural Lighting, Mosque. Pencahayaan alami merupakan hal yang sangat dibutuhkan pada suatu bangunan, tidak terkecuali pada bangunan masjid. Masjid sebagai tempat peribadatan umat Islam, menuntut agar memberikan kenyamanan semaksimal mungkin bagi jamaahnya. Salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi tingkat kenyamanan tersebut adalah kualitas pencahayaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pencahayaan alami pada Masjid Raya Al’Azhom Tangerang melalui pengukuran tingkat pencahayaan alami. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan menghitung intensitas pencahayaan alami pada ruang ibadah wanita di masjid dengan menggunakan luxmeter, pengukuran dilakukan dengan membagi dua puluh lima titik ukur dari bidang lubang cahaya efektif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa intensitas cahaya yang masuk kedalam ruang ibadah wanita belum memenuhi standar pencahayaan SNI 03-6197-2011. Kata Kunci : Pencahayaan Alami, Masjid.
