Abstract
PT AHM conducts improvement activities to improve productivity and product quality. During the period March-May 2018, the unstable front wheel defect (repair) is the dominant defect which is the main priority that must be analyzed to reduce the amount. The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze what factors caused the unstable front wheel on a K97 type motor unit, and propose improvements. The method used is the DMAIC method (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control).Based on the fishbone diagram analysis, defect uneven list tire causes are the most dominant cause of defects. The factors that cause defect : the air pressure on the air filling machine is unstable, the operator is inconsistent while working, the lubricating vegetable soap is manually, the hardness of the tire is too high, vegetable soap ingredients need to be improved, the temperature of the tire storage is not suitable. Proposed improvements : increase the level of Lauryl Sulafate Sodium to 8% to increase the level of slipperiness of vegetable soap, making automatic lubrication machines, giving training refreshes and providing knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) each 3 months, consistent in carrying out periodic maintenance of all production machines used, control the quality of materials regularly, and control the parameters of the warehouse for material storage regularly. Key word: defect, six sigma, DMAIC, FMEA PT AHM melakukan aktifitas improvement untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan kualitas produknya. Selama periode Maret-Mei 2018, defect (repair) front wheel oleng merupakan defect dominan yang dianalisa untuk menurunkan jumlah defectnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menentukan dan menganalisa faktor apa saja yang menyebabkan front wheel oleng pada unit motor tipe K97 serta memberikan usulan perbaikan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). Berdasarkan analisa diagram fishbone, penyebab defect list tire tidak merata merupakan penyebab defect yang paling dominan. Beberapa faktor penyebab defect yaitu tekanan udara pada mesin air filling tidak stabil, operator tidak konsisten saat bekerja, proses lubrikasi vegetable soap dilakukan secara manual, tingkat kekerasan dari ban terlalu tinggi, komposisi bahan vegetable soap perlu ditingkatkan, suhu tempat penyimpanan ban yang tidak sesuai. Usulan perbaikannya yaitu meningkatkan kadar Sodium Lauryl Sulafate menjadi 8% untuk meningkatkan tingkat kelicinan material vegetable soap, pembuatan mesin lubrikasi otomatis, memberikan refresh pelatihan dan memberikan pengetahuan Standard Operasional Prosedure (SOP) tiap 3 bulan sekali, konsisten dalam melakukan perawatan secara berkala terhadap seluruh mesin produksi, mengontrol kualitas material secara berkala, dan mengontrol parameter pada gudang penyimpaanan material secara berkala.
