Abstract
Ideally, a transformer has no losses. But at the time of operation, there was nothing ideal. The losses in the transformer consist of full load loss and no-load loss. No-load loss is an important parameter in a transformer because as long as there is electricity flowing in a network, it doesn't matter how big the load is, but the no-load loss value will always be the same. The amount of no-load loss is influenced by many factors, such as hysteresis, eddy current, laminate arrangement, gap, stacking distance and connection design. The research carried out in this Final Project is to see a reduction in no-load loss from the density factor of iron core lamination in three samples of stacking core 100 kVA Yzn5 distribution transformer. The results obtained were no-load loss value of 4.22% ⁓ 4.46% due to the influence of the density of iron core lamination obtained by adjusting the distance between fixing parts, using iron core belts and pegs, and tightening bolts with a torque strength of 30 Nm. Keywords : Distribution Transformer, No-load loss, density lamination in iron core Idealnya, sebuah transformator tidak memiliki rugi-rugi. Namun pada saat pengoperasiannya, tidak ada yang ideal. Rugi-rugi pada transformator terdiri dari rugi berbeban dan rugi tanpa beban. Rugi tanpa beban adalah sebuah parameter penting pada sebuah transformator karena selama ada listrik yang mengalir dalam suatu jaringan, tidak masalah seberapa besar beban, tetapi nilai rugi tanpa beban akan selalu sama. Besarnya rugi tanpa beban dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor, seperti histeresis, arus eddy, susunan laminasi, celah, jarak stacking dan desain sambungan. Penelitian yang dilakukan dalam Tugas Akhir ini adalah melihat penurunan nilai rugi tanpa beban dari faktor kerapatan laminasi inti besi pada tiga sample transformator distribusi 100 kVA Yzn5 tipe stacking core. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah nilai rugi tanpa beban turun sebesar 4,22% ⁓ 4,46% akibat pengaruh kerapatan laminasi inti besi yang didapatkan dengan cara mengatur jarak antar fixing part, menggunakan iron core belt dan pasak, serta mengencangkan baut dengan kekuatan torsi sebesar 30 Nm.
