Abstract

The business process of a restaurant can not be separated from the ordering system and the sale of food and beverage menus that are sold every day. Based on direct observation at the Ayam Kalasan Cideng restaurant, the restaurant has not provided good service to customers. There are problems found, including delays in food orders, non-sequential order formations, overlapping orders, complicated report preparation processes. Therefore an application of point of sale (POS) is needed to overcome these problems. This study aims to produce a point of sale application for Ayam Kalasan Cideng restaurant based on desktop and mobile web so that sellers and buyers can be integrated well with each other. The methodology used is Extreme Programming. In this method there are 4 stages in the process including planning, design, coding, testing. Making POS applications is expected to facilitate the process of ordering services especially at the Ayam Kalasan Cideng restaurant. Key words: Point of sale, web, order. penjualan menu makanan dan minuman yang dijual setiap harinya. Berdasarkan observasi langsung di rumah makan Ayam Kalasan Cideng, rumah makan tersebut belum memberikan pelayanan yang baik terhadap pelanggan. Terdapat permasalahan yang ditemukan yakni keterlambatan order makanan, tidak urutnya pembuatan pemesanan, bertumpuknya jumlah pemesanan, proses penyusunan laporan yang rumit. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan aplikasi point of sale (POS) untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan aplikasi point of sale Ayam Kalasan Cideng berbasis web dekstop maupun web mobile agar penjual dan pembeli dapat saling terintegrasi dengan baik. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah Extreme Programming. Dalam metode ini terdapat 4 tahapan dalam pengerjaannya diantaranya planning, design, coding, testing. Pembuatan aplikasi POS diharapkan dapat memudahkan proses pelayanan pemesanan khususnya pada rumah makan Ayam Kalasan Cideng. Kata kunci: Point of sale, web, pemesanan
