Abstract

Money is one of the most important things and also a source of problems for most people. A variety of quick ways to get money. However, there are also those who prefer shortcuts with unseen ways, namely to do pesugihan. Pesugihan is taken from the Javanese language, which means everything that makes it rich. The aim is to get success and wealth by making an agreement with a genie or demon. In this film there are 4 main characters namely Aura, David, Lia, and Rizky. The one doing the pesugihan here is the parent of Aura. Then when Aura and the 3 friends wanted to go on vacation, Aura's parents wanted all three of his friends to be sacrificial for his pesugihan. The author will use the theory of Continuity Editing that will be used during editing. Continuity Editing is a method of editing a film that contains the connection of two scenes that have continuity. Editing continuity is in the invisible cutting category. With invisible cutting, the audience does not "see" or feel a connection between the shots. By using Continuity in this film, making the audience feel a connection between shots so that the story becomes continuous. By using this theory the author seeks that the film can provide information to the audience. Keywords: Editor, Continuity Editing, Short Film, Horror Uang menjadi salah satu hal yang paling penting dan juga sebagai sumber permasalahan untuk kebanyakan orang. Berbagai cara cepat dilakukan untuk mendapatkan uang. Namun, ada juga yang lebih memilih jalan pintas dengan cara ghaib, yaitu melakukan pesugihan. Pesugihan diambil dari bahasa Jawa yang artinya adalah segala sesuatu yang menjadikan kaya. Tujuannya adalah untuk mendapatkan kesuksesan dan kekayaan dengan cara melakukan perjanjian dengan jin atau setan. Dalam film ini terdapat 4 karakter utama yaitu Aura, David, Lia, dan Rizky. Yang melakukan pesugihan disini adalah orang tua dari Aura. Lalu pada saat Aura dan ke 3 temannya ingin liburan, orang tua Aura menginginkan ke-3 temannya menjadi tumbal untuk pesugihannya. Penulis akan menggunakan teori Continuity Editing yang akan dipakai pada saat editing. Continuity Editing adalah metode editing film yang berisi penyambungan dari dua buah adegan yang mempunyai kesinambungan. Editing continuity masuk pada kategori invisible cutting. Dengan invisible cutting, penonton tidak “melihat” atau merasakan adanya sambungan antar shot. Kata kunci : Editor, Continuity Editing, Film Pendek, Horror
