Abstract

As the demands for electricity in Indonesia increase, there are needs for alternative energy source which can help reduce the burden of electricity as whole. So by considering the geographical and climate conditions in Indonesia, the most suitable energy source is solar energy. The utilization of solar energy can be maximized with the use of solar tracker. A device that uses four light dependent resistor (LDR) as sensor which can track the position of the sun and a circuit to monitor the voltage and current of the solar cell output. The solar tracker monitoring system which will be made in this study consist of a solar cell module, LDR sensors, Wemos D1 mini and two servo motor that moves the tracker. A circuit that read the solar cell output current and voltage which then be sent to the Thingsboard platform. A series of 3 LEDs that can be controlled through Thingsboard and a step-up module for mobile phone charging. From the result of testing the device, a solar tracker system which can follow the direction of the light source and send the data to the Thingsboard.io server. The LEDs control is functioning well according to controls sent from Thingsboard. The current and voltage sensor have a voltage reading error of 0.15% and current 3.03%. With the level of accuracy of 99.85% and 96.97% respectively. Battery charging has an average current of 92.25mA with a maximum charging current of 161.60mA. Step-up module has an average voltage of 5.13V and a maximum charging current of 515mA. Dengan semakin meningkatnya kebutuhan energi listrik di Indonesia maka makin dibutuhkan pula sumber energi listrik alternatif yang dapat membantu mengurangi beban penggunaan energi listrik secara menyeluruh. Maka dengan mempertimbangkan kondisi geografis dan iklim di Indonesia maka idealnya sumber energi yang paling sesuai adalah energi matahari. Pemanfaatan energi matahari dapat dimaksimalkan dengan penggunaan solar tracker. Sebuah alat yang menggunakan empat buah Light Dependent Resistor sebagai sensor yang berfungsi untuk mencari posisi matahari serta sebuah sirkuit elektronik untuk memantau tegangan dan arus dari output solar cell. Sistem monitoring solar tracker yang akan dibuat dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari modul solar cell, sensor LDR, Wemos D1 mini, dan motor servo yang bergerak mengikuti arah posisi matahari. Rangkaian pembaca arus dan tegangan output sel surya yang kemudian akan dikirim ke platform Thingsboard. Rangkaian 3 LED yang dapat dikendalikan melalui Thingsboard serta modul step-up untuk pengisian daya handphone Dari hasil pengujian alat yang telah direalisasikan, dihasilkan sebuah sistem solar tracker yang dapat mengikuti arah sumber cahaya dan mengirimkan data ke server Thingsboard.io. Pengendalian LED sesuai dengan kontrol yang dikirim dari Thingsboard. Sensor arus dan tegangan memiliki tingkat kesalahan pembacaan tegangan sebesar 0.15% dan arus sebesar 3.03%. Dengan tingkat keakurasian masing-masing sebesar 99.85% dan 96.97%. Pengisian baterai memiliki rata-rata arus pengisian sebesar 92.25mA dengan arus pengisian maksimum sebesar 161.60mA. Modul step-up memiliki tegangan rata-rata 5.13V dan arus maksimum sebesar 515mA.
