Abstract
In inventory management, good raw material is one of the success factors of a manufacturing company to serve the needs of factories and consumers in producing a quality and timely product. To be able to set an optimal inventory level that can meet the needs of raw materials in quantity, quality and the right time with a low amount of costs as expected by the company, a control system is needed at the company. PT. Alkindo Mitraraya is one of the polymer companies or industries where the products produced are resin / binder can also be called the main raw material of paint which primarily serves the resin needs of PT. Propan Raya ICC. Material Requirements Planning really requires forecasting consumer demand that is calculated from past demand, so that it can estimate future needs. In this study, what was analyzed was the total cost resulting from several uses of the Lot Sizing Technique. The Sizing Lot Technique used is Lot for Lot (Lot for Lot), Economic Order Quantity (Order with Economic Amount), Fixed Period Requirement, Fixed Order Quantity (Fixed Order Quantity) After calculating the four Lot Sizing techniques, the Lot for Lot technique produces the lowest total cost of Rp. 4,288,799,330 but in its application the EOQ method is more appropriate for the type of resin product which gives a total cost of Rp. 7,054,641,364. Keywords : Forecasting, Material Requirement Planning, Lot Sizing Dalam manajemen persediaan, bahan baku yang baik merupakan salah satu faktor keberhasilan suatu perusahaan manufaktur untuk melayani kebutuhan pabrik dan konsumen dalam menghasilkan suatu produk yang berkualitas dan tepat waktu. Untuk dapat mengatur suatu tingkat persediaan optimal yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan akan bahan baku dalam jumlah, mutu dan waktu yang tepat dengan jumlah biaya yang rendah seperti yang diharapkan perusahaan maka diperlukan suatu sistem pengendalian pada perusahaan. PT. Alkindo Mitraraya merupakan salah satu perusahaan atau industri polimer dimana produk yang dihasilkan adalah resin/binder juga bisa disebut bahan baku utama dari cat yang utamanya melayani kebutuhan resin terhadap PT. Propan Raya ICC. Perencanaan Kebutuhan Material sangat memerlukan peramalan permintaan konsumen yang dihitung dari permintaan masa lalu, sehingga dapat memperkirakan kebutuhan dimasa mendatang. Dalam penelitian ini, yang dianalisa adalah biaya total yang dihasilkan dari beberapa penggunaan Teknik Lot Sizing. Teknik Lot Sizing yang digunakan adalah Lot for Lot (Lot untuk Lot), Economic Order Quantity (Pemesanan dengan Jumlah Ekonomis), Fixed Period Requirement (Kebutuhan Periode Tetap), Fixed Order Quantity (Jumlah Pesanan Tetap) Setelah melakukan perhitungan dengan keempat teknik Lot Sizing tersebut, teknik Lot for Lot yang menghasilkan biaya total terendah yaitu Rp. 4.288.799.330 namun pada penerapannya metode EOQ yang lebih tepat digunakan untuk jenis produk resin yang memberikan total biaya Rp. 7.054.641.364.
