Abstract
This study aims to obtain a potrayal of parenting behavior which can support of wellbeing in the z generation of pre-school age. Subjects in this study were parents of preschool-aged children, and there were 50 samples. The method for data collection in this study is using interview techniques with questionnaire with the open-ended questions form. The data collection tool has used 9 open-ended questions. The results of the study found that mothers in all aspects of parenting has appeared to the parenting behaviors that can support psychological well-being for the z generation of pre-school age, but for the important aspect is from the appropriate discipline and teaching. And then, followed by aspects of affection, engagement, responsiveness, encouragement, and for the least aspect is from supportive co-parenting. For fathers, the most important aspect is also the same as the mothers, but for the fathers are not appeared at all on aspects of responsiveness, encouragement, engagement, and supportive co-parenting. So it can be concluded, that overall the two are similar to emphasize aspects for appropriate discipline, teaching and affection in parenting that can support the wellbeing of children, but for the fathers are not appeared for all aspects, whereas for the mothers are all appeared only not as much as the appearance of three aspects. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran perilaku pengasuhan orang tua yang dapat mendukung kesejahteraan pada generasi z usia prasekolah. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah orang tua dari anak usia prasekolah, sebanyak 50 sampel. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik wawancara dengan questionnaire berupa pertanyaan terbuka. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan terdiri dari 9 butir pertanyaan terbuka. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa pada ibu seluruh aspek dalam pengasuhan muncul untuk perilaku pengasuhan yang dapat mendukung kesejahteraan secara psikologis pada generasi z usia prasekolah, namun aspek pentingnya ada pada appropriate discipline dan teaching. Kemudian baru disusul dengan aspek affection, engagement, responsiveness, encouragement, dan aspek yang paling sedikit muncul yaitu supportive co-parenting. Bagi ayah, aspek yang paling penting juga sama seperti ibu, namun pada ayah tidak memunculkan sama sekali pada aspek responsiveness, encouragement, engagement, dan supportive co-parenting. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa secara keseluruhan, kedua nya hampir sama untuk mementingkan aspek approriate discipline, teaching dan affection dalam memberikan pengasuhan yang dapat mendukung kesejahteraan anak, namun pada ayah tidak semua aspek muncul, sedangkan pada ibu semuanya muncul hanya saja tidak sebanyak kemunculan tiga aspek tersebut.
