Abstract

Infra Red Theraphy is a medical device used as a therapy against a disease. This therapy is physiotherapy, meaning that the treatment is done physically by utilizing radiation emissions it produces. In addition to generating heat, the electric current through the filaments of the infrared light plane also produces infra red as much as (95%), visible light spectrum (as much as 4.8%) and less ultraviolet radiation (as much as 0.1%). Filament in the lamp tube is usually made of tungsten material. The lamp tube can contain inert gas with low pressure. The front of the lamp tube is a layer to filter out short-sighted light and ultraviolet light. Infra Red Theraphy aircraft with power 150-1500 W, usually used for therapy on the back of the body, stomach and both feet. While the power 150-250 W, for the face area, shoulders, hands and bone joints. Especially for the face area, the patient's eyes should be protected using materials that can reflect light because Infra Red rays that affect the eyes can cause cataracts. The distance between the infrared lamp and the patient is generally between 50-75 cm, while for patients with nerve injuries (neuritis) the distance is approximately ± 1 or ½ times the distance generally and when the condition of muscle tension and pain is usually set so that the distance of the lamp to the skin 45- 60 cm, rays fall perpendicular to the skin, when the sweat comes out wiped dry. The light is positioned opposite and perpendicular to the area to be irradiated to ensure maximum absorption and when sweat out is wiped dry. The duration of therapy with this tool depends on the sensitivity of the patient's skin to the degree of heat, the type of illness that the patient suffers and the amount of power or wattage of lamps used. Keywords: Infra Red, Theraphy, Arduino. Pesawat Infra Red Theraphy adalah alat medis yang digunakan sebagai terapi terhadap suatu penyakit. Terapi ini bersifat fisioterapi, maksudnya adalah pengobatan yang dilakukan secara fisik dengan memanfaatkan pancaran radiasi yang dihasilkannya. Selain menghasilkan panas, arus listrik yang melalui filamen lampu pada pesawat infra red ini juga menghasilkan infra red sebanyak (95%), cahaya spektrum tampak (sebanyak 4,8%) dan sedikit radiasi ultraviolet (sebanyak 0,1%). Filament pada tabung lampu biasanya terbuat dari bahan tungsten. Tabung lampu dapat berisi gas inert dengan tekanan rendah. Bagian depan tabung lampu terdapat lapisan untuk memfilter cahaya tampak pendek dan sinar ultraviolet. Pesawat Infra Red Theraphy dengan daya 150-1500 W, biasanya digunakan untuk terapi pada daerah belakang tubuh, perut dan kedua kaki. Sedangkan daya 150-250 W, untuk daerah wajah, pundak, tangan dan persendian tulang. Khusus untuk daerah wajah, mata pasien harus dilindungi menggunakan bahan yang dapat memantulkan cahaya karena sinar Infra Red yang mengenai mata dapat menyebabkan penyakit katarak. Jarak antara lampu infra red dengan pasien umumnya antara 50-75 cm, sedangkan untuk pasien dengan luka syaraf (neuritis) jaraknya diperjauh sekitar ±1 atau ½ kali jarak umumnya dan pada saat kondisi ketegangan otot dan nyeri biasanya diatur sehingga jarak lampu ke kulit 45-60 cm, sinar jatuh tegak lurus ke kulit, bila keluar keringat dilap sampai kering. Lampu diposisikan berhadapan dan tegak lurus dengan daerah yang akan diradiasi untuk menjamin penyerapan yang maksimal dan bila keluar keringat dilap sampai kering. Lamanya waktu terapi dengan alat ini tergantung dari sensitivitas kulit pasien terhadap derajat panas, jenis penyakit yang diderita pasien dan besarnya daya atau watt lampu yang digunakan.
