Abstract

With increasing demand for high data rates, capacity and large of bandwidth in cellular network technology, there is a need to include mm-Wave frequency for 5G. Antenna is an important component of wireless communication system. Modern wireless communication systems require low cost, high gain, and simple structural antennas to ensure reliability, mobility, and high efficiency. Microstrip antenna has a simple and easy shape when in fabrication. Microstrip antenna has a weakness that is a small gain then made a microstrip array antenna. The antenna microstrip rectangular patch array 4 element is designed using feed line because this type of union is simpler in array and unity. The antenna is designed to have a 35 mm x 65 mm groundplane size and patch size of 3mm x 4mm, made on a Roger RT5880 substrate with εr = 2.2; thickness of 1.575 mm and tanδ = 0.0009. This antenna is designed using Ansys HFSS software. From the simulation results obtained reflection factor value of -13 dB at frequency 28 GHz. While in the process of measurement, the result of reflection factor (S_1,1) is -12 dB at frequency 28.1 GHz. Keywords: Microstrip Antenna, Wave Millimeter (mmWave), antenna array Dengan tingginya permintaan untuk tingkat data serta kapasitas dan sangat besarnya bandwidth pada teknologi jaringan seluler ada kebutuhan untuk memasukkan frekuensi mm-Wave untuk 5G. Antena adalah komponen penting dari sistem komunikasi nirkabel. Sistem komunikasi nirkabel modern membutuhkan biaya rendah, gain tinggi, dan antena struktur sederhana untuk menjamin keandalan, mobilitas, dan efisiensi tinggi. Antena mikrostrip memiliki bentuk yang sederhana dan mudah saat di fabrikasi. Antena mikrostrip memiliki kekurangan yaitu gain yang kecil maka dibuatlah antena mikrostrip array. Antena mikrostrip rectangular patch array 4 elemen dirancang menggunakan pencatuan feed line karena jenis pencatuan ini lebih sederhana dalam susunan dan pencatuan. Antena ini di rancang memiliki ukuran groundplane 35 mm x 65 mm dan ukuran patch 3mm x 4mm, yang dibuat pada sebuah substrat Roger RT5880 dengan εr = 2,2; ketebalan 1,575 mm dan
