Abstract

There are many electric panel explosions recently that result the cessation of business activity and not infrequently this explosion takes human casualties. Low Voltage Main Distribution Panel is a device of protection and distribution of electricity that is vital in maintaining security and reliability of electrical system in a building. But it can be very dangerous because it distributes very large currents. If there is short circuit can cause arc flash or a very powerful arc and very dangerous for anyone who is in the vicinity. In this research we will calculate 3 phase short circuit and energy incident of arc flash at main bus of Low Voltage Main Distribution Panel Tower A, South Quarter. After we get the result of calculation of 3 phase short circuit and incident energy of arc flash, then it will be analyzed how big influence of 3 phase short circuit to the magnitude incident energy of arc flash and what personal protective equipment should be used. Results of calculation of short circuit current maximum 3 phase that is at the main bus that closer to Main Breaker Low Voltage Main Distribution Panel Tower A, South Quarter is 55 kA. While the magnitude incident energy of arc flash is 6,565 cal / cm2. From the results of the calculation, the closer the location of the 3 phase short circuit to Main Breaker Panel will be the greater the 3 phase short circuit and energy incident of arc flash. From the results of arc flash calculation, the Low Voltage Main Distribution Panel comes in category 2 on the Hazard Risk Category and the value of this category as a reference workers in the area to use personal protective equipment according to NFPA 70E-2012. Keywords: Low Voltage Main Distribution Panel, 3 Phase Short Circuit, Arc Flash Akhir-akhir ini banyak terjadi ledakan panel listrik yang berakibat pada terhentinya aktivitas bisnis dan tidak jarang ledakan ini memakan korban manusia. Panel Utama Tegangan rendah adalah perangkat proteksi dan distribusi listrik yang sangat vital dalam menjaga keamanan dan keandalan system kelistrikan pada suatu gedung. Namun disisi lain, panel listrik sangat berbahaya karena teraliri arus yang sangat besar. Apabila terjadi korsleting listrik dapat menimbulkan arc flash atau busur api yang sangat dahsyat dan sangat membahayakan bagi siapa saja yang berada di sekitarnya. Pada Penelitian ini akan dilakukan perhitungan arus hubung singkat 3 fasa dan insiden energi arc flash pada penghantar utama Panel Utama Tegangan Rendah Tower A, South Quarter. Setelah didapatkan hasil perhitungan arus hubung singkat 3 fasa dan insiden energi arc flash, selanjutnya akan dianalisa seberapa besar pengaruh besarnya arus hubung singkat 3 fasa terhadap besarnya insiden energi arc flash dan alat keselamatan diri apa yang harus digunakan. Hasil perhitungan arus hubung singkat 3 fasa maksimal yaitu pada penghantar utama terdekat Main Breaker Panel Utama Tegangan Rendah Tower A, South Quarter adalah 55 kA. Sedangkan besarnya insiden energi arc flash adalah 6,565 cal/cm2. Dari hasil peritungan tersebut, maka semakin dekat lokasi terjadinya arus hubung singkat 3 fasa terhadap Main Breaker Panel maka akan semakin besar nilai arus hubung singkat 3 fasa dan insiden energi arc flash-nya. Dari hasil perhitungan arc flash, Panel Utama Tegangan Rendah masuk pada kategori 2 pada Hazard Risk Category dan nilai kategori ini sebagai acuan pekerja di area tersebut untuk menggunakan alat pelindung diri sesuai NFPA 70E-2012.
