Abstract
Korean Cultural Center is a place where Indonesian people do cultural exchange or introduction of Korean Culture activities. But the existence of it still have not yet been used to its maximum capacity. Thematic design is centered to areas that linked straight to public access such as Lobby, Souvenir Shop, Mini Gallery, Library, and Classrooms. Moreover, there are also other rooms such as Office, Auditorium, Multi-function Hall, Musholla, Café, Lavatory, and Stockroom. Korean Cultural Center is placed in Senayan, South Jakarta. This region is one of the CBD (Central Business District) in Jakarta, with a consideration of a strategic place in the center of the city. KCC has a two-way circulation system and a vertical circulation system which are used to solve differences in usage and interest, facilities, mobility level, and the on-going activities. Followed by maximum application of room organization to simplify visitors to access their desired rooms but also while noticing other rooms around them that they pass through. The theme of this interior design is “Cultural Diffusion”. The concept is using the mix of modern architecture concept with traditional style of Korea. So the style of this interior design is Modern Contemporary. The characteristic of modern interior design is functional, simple, and using clean straight lines. The interior and exterior consist of vertical and horizontal lines. While contemporary style has its own simplicity and can blend with other styles with a little ornaments or decorations. The mix of modern and traditional contemporary style of Korea will consist of lines, nature colors, harmony of textures, simplicity, proportion, and will use a lot of nature materials. Designing the interior will start from the interior system, room’s elements of form and sustention, space relations, room organization, that will lead to some literatures and field observation in deciding design elements, design principals, and the theme. Pusat Kebudayaan Korea merupakan wadah kegiatan pertukaran atau pengenalan kebudayaan Korea khususnya kepada masyarakat Indonesia. Namun keberadaannya masih belum dimanfaatkan secara maksimal. Perancangan tematis dipusatkan pada area – area yang berkaitan dan berhubungan langsung dengan pengunjung, yaitu Lobby, Souvenir Shop, Ruang Pamer, Perpustakaan dan Ruang Kelas. Selain itu juga terdapat ruang penunjang, yaitu Kantor, Auditorium, Multi-function Hall, Musholla, Café, Lavatory, dan Gudang. Perancangan Pusat Kebudayaan Korea ini berada di Senayan, Jakarta Selatan. Kawasan ini merupakan salah satu CBD (Central Bussines Distric) di Jakarta, dengan pertimbangan letak yang strategis dipusat kota. Sistem sirkulasi dua arah dan vertical digunakan untuk memecahkan berbagai perbedaan kepentingan, fasilitas, tingkat mobilitas dan aktivitas yang ada. Diikuti dengan penerapan organisasi ruang yang maksimal untuk mempermudah pengunjung menuju ruang yang dikehendaki tetapi dengan memperhatikan ruangan lain di sekitar yang dilewati. Tema perancangan yang digunakan yaitu “Cultural Diffusion”. Konsep perancangan menggunakan perpaduan konsep arsitektur modern dengan gaya tradisional Korea, maka gaya perancangan yaitu Modern Kontemporer. Karakteristik arsitektur modern yaitu bangunan bersifat fungsional artinya sebuah bangunan dapat mencapai tujuan semaksimal mungkin, sesuai dengan fungsinya, bentuk sederhana dan bersih, Interior dan eksterior terdiri dari garis-garis vertikal dan horizontal. Karakteristik kontemporer yaitu kesederhanaan, menyatu dengan gaya lainnya, sedikit ornament, dan gaya yang dapay selalu berubah - ubah. Perpaduan antara karakteristik arsitektur modern dengan gaya tradisional Korea yaitu: garis yang hemat, memakai warna alam, harmoni tekstur keberagaman, sederhana, proposional, dan menggunakan material alam. Perancangan interior mulai dari interior system, elemen pembentuk ruang, elemen pengisi ruang, hubungan antar ruang, organisasi ruang mengacu pada beberapa literatur dan tinjauan lapangan dengan mempertimbangkan unsur desain, prinsip desain, dan tema.
