Abstract
The research is a qualitative study to examine the depression of the wife who experienced Domestic Violence. The focus of this study is to describe the form of violence and its impact on wives that ultimately impact deeper and cause symptoms of depression. The purpose of this study is to know the symptoms of depression in a wife who experienced domestic violence. The approach used in this research is qualitative approach with qualitative design of phenomenology. Subjects in this study were a wife who experienced domestic violence for more than 2 years. Characteristics of the subject is young adulthood to middle adulthood. The data analyzed is the result of interview and observation. The results of this study indicate that the different types of violence experienced by the subject can cause symptoms of depression are almost the same, both in the young adulthood to middle adulthood subjects are sad and depressed mood, sleep patterns and eating disorders, and difficulty to concentrate. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif untuk meneliti gambaran depresi pada istri yang mengalami Kekerasan Dalam Rumah Tangga. Fokus penelitian ini adalah memaparkan bentuk kekerasan dan dampaknya pada istri yang pada akhirnya dampak tersebut semakin dalam dan menimbulkan gejala depresi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui gejala depresi pada istri yang mengalami KDRT. Pendekatan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain kualitatif fenomenologi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah seorang istri yang mengalami KDRT selama rentan waktu lebih dari 2 tahun. Karakteristik subjek adalah dewasa awal hingga menengah. Data yang dianalisis merupakan hasil wawancara dan observasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan jenis kekerasan yang dialami oleh subjek dapat menimbulkan gejala depresi yang hampir sama baik pada subjek dewasa awal maupun dewasa menengah yaitu mood sedih dan tertekan, gangguan pola tidur dan makan, dan kesulitan untuk berkonsentrasi. Kata kunci : Depresi, KDRT, Dampak KDRT.
