Abstract
The purpose of this study is as follows: To find out how much peer influence on student motivation in High School Christian Penabur Tangerang City. This research is quantitative approach, quantitative descriptive type. In this study using Simple Random Sampling method. Using the slovin formula, the samples taken were 93 students at Tangerang City Christian High School Penabur. The conclusion of this research is the influence of peer (X) on student learning motivation (Y) in Christian School Penabur Tangerang City, it can be seen that the influence has tvalue for variable X (peer) equal to 21.093, while the value of ttable for n = 93 of 1.986. So 21.093 > 1.986, it can be concluded that partially peer variables (X) have an effect on student learning motivation (Y). While the R Square value of 0830 means that peers have an impact of 83% of student learning motivation while the remaining 17% influence with other factors not examined by the authors in this study. Keywords: peer, student learning motivation. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: Untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh rekan sebaya terhadap motivasi belajar siswa di Sekolah Menengah Atas Kristen Penabur Kota Tangerang. Penelitian ini berpendekatan kuantitatif, berjenis deskriptif kuantitatif. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode Simple Random Sampling. Dengan menggunakan rumus slovin, sampel yang diambil adalah 93 siswa pada Sekolah Menengah Atas Kristen Penabur Kota Tangerang. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh rekan sebaya (X) terhadap motivasi belajar siswa (Y) di Sekolah Menengah Atas Kristen Penabur Kota Tangerang, dapat diketahui bahwa pengaruh tersebut memiliki nilai thitung untuk variabel X (rekan sebaya) sebesar 21.093, sedangkan nilai ttabel untuk n = 93 sebesar 1.986. Jadi 21.093 > 1.986, dapat disimpulkan bahwa secara parsial variabel rekan sebaya (X) berpengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar siswa (Y). Sedangkan nilai R Square sebesar 0.830 artinya bahwa rekan sebaya memiliki pengaruh sebesar 83% terhadap motivasi belajar siswa sedangkan sisanya sebesar 17% berpengaruh dengan faktor lain yang tidak diteliti oleh penulis dalam penelitian ini.
