Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to see whether there is a relationship between the top five and independent learning readiness for e-learning students at Mercu Buana University. This study uses quantitative research. The number of samples from this study consisted of 273 students. The five big intelligence type measuring instrument with the number of questions as many as 44 items developed by Goldberg (Neila Ramdhani, 2012), while the measuring instrument for selflearning readiness with the number of questions as many as 40 items translated into Indonesian and developed by Guglielmino (Stewart, 2007) . The results of this study are that there are significant correlations between five large types and independent learning readiness for e-learning students at Mercu Buana University. With a significance value of 0.000 <0.005, the coefficients of personality feasibility dimensions (0.561), awareness (0.555), openness (0.542), and extraversion (0.413) have higher learning readiness than individuals with extraversion and neuroticism (0.047). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah terdapat hubungan antara tipe kepribadian big five dan kesiapan belajar mandiri pada mahasiswa e-learning di Universitas Mercu Buana. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif. Jumlah sampel dari penelitian ini yakni berjumlah 273 mahasiswa. Alat ukur tipe kepribadian big five dengan jumlah pertanyaan sebanyak 44 item yang dikembangkan oleh Goldberg (Neila Ramdhani, 2012), sedangkan alat ukur kesiapan belajar mandiri dengan jumlah pertanyaan sebanyak 40 item yang diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa indonesia dan dikembangkan oleh Guglielmino (Stewart, 2007). Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tipe kepribadian big five dan kesiapan belajar mandiri pada mahasiswa elearning di Universitas Mercu Buana. Dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000<0.005, maka koefisien korelasi dimensi tipe kepribadian agreeableness (0,561), conscientiousness (0,555), openness (0,542, dan extraversion (0,413) yang memiliki Kesiapan Belajar Mandiri yang lebih tinggi dari pada dimensi tipe kepribadian extraversion dan neuroticism (0,047).
