Abstract
Managing employees’ motivations has been a crucial issue for Human Resources Department these days. Business competitions require every company or organization to win the market and grow stronger as expected by shareholders and stakeholders. Every aspect can have relations or even impacts to create good working motivational level. This research tried to find further correlations between employees working motivations and organizational culture. Culture and organizational culture are abstract to see but people may see other visible things that represent the identity of organization itself. In this research, organization culture theory by Cameron and Quinn was used to find the type of culture of PT. X in Jakarta. Referred to previous research that Clan Culture type has correlation with employees working motivations, this research came out with different result. Although the result is different, the concept of organizational culture theory is considered to create better system for PT. X in Jakarta. Keywords: organizational culture, type of organizational cultures, employees working motivations Mengelola tingkat motivasi kerja karyawan telah menjadi hal penting bagi Departemen Sumber Daya Manusia dalam beberapa waktu terakhir ini. Persaingan usaha menuntut setiap perusahaan atau organisasi untuk menguasai pasar dan berkembang besar seperti yang diharapkan oleh para pemegang saham dan pemegang keuntungan lainnya. Setiap aspek dapat memiliki hubungan bahkan pengaruh untuk menciptakan tingkat motivasi kerja karyawan yang baik. Penelitian ini mencoba menemukan hubungan yang lebih jauh antara motivasi kerja karyawan dan budaya organisasi. Budaya dan budaya organisasi bersifat abstrak namun masyarakat dapat melihat hal-hal yang menunjukkan identitas organisasi itu sendiri. Dalam penelitian ini pula teori budaya organisasi dari Cameron dan Quinn dipilih untuk menemukan tipe budaya organisasi dari PT. X di Jakarta. Berdasarkan penelitian sebelumnya yang mengatakan bahwa tipe budaya organisasi Clan memiliki hubungan dengan motivasi kerja karyawan, namun penelitian ini memiliki hasil yang berbeda. Meskipun berbeda namun konsep teori budaya organisasi ini dapat dipergunakan untuk menciptakan sistem yang lebih baik untuk PT. X di Jakarta.
