Abstract
This research was conducted to examine the relationship between employability skills and Turnover intensity on employees of the EMS PT Telemarketing unit in Jakarta. The research method used is a quantitative method, with a total sample of 110 women and men in PT. EMS Jakarta using random sampling. Employability skills use the employability skills competency scale consisting of 24 items. And Turnover Intensity consists of 16 items. In this study using SPSS version 20.0 software using Pearson correlation analysis to see the relationship between variable employability skills with turnover intensity. Mobley (1986; 99), there are determinants that cause turnover in work organizations, namely variables: economic variables; individual variables, organizational variables and individual variables that are not related to work. Individual variables are divided into three parts: individual demographic variables (age and years of service), personal variables (personality, interests, talents, abilities, absences) and integrated variables (job satisfaction, career development planning, organizational attachment, and mental pressure). This is evident from the results of this study which shows that there is no significant relationship between employability skills and intensity of turnover that occurs in the Telemarketing unit of PT. EMS Jakarta. Employability Skills are not the main factor for an employee to decide to resign (turnover intention) in the company. Keywords: Employability Skills, intensity of Turnover. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji hubungan employability skills dengan intensitas Turnover pada karyawan unit Telemarketing PT EMS di Jakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif, dengan total sampel 110 perempuan dan laki-laki di PT.EMS Jakarta menggunakan random sampling. Employability skills menggunakan skala kompetensi employability skills yang terdiri dari 24 item. Dan Intensitas Turnover terdiri dari 16 item.Pada penelitian ini menggunakan software SPSS versi 20.0 dengan menggunakan analisis korelasi pearson untuk melihat hubungan antara variabel employability skills dengan intensitas turnover.Mobley (1986;99), terdapat faktor-faktor penentu yang menyebabkan turnover padaorganisasi kerja, yaitu variabel: variabel ekonomi; variabel individu, variabel organisasi dan variabel individu yang tidak berkenaan dengan pekerjaan. Variabel individu terbagi menjadi tiga bagian yaitu variabel demografik individu (usia dan masa kerja), variabel pribadi (kepribadian, minat, bakat, kemampuan, absensi) dan variabel terpadu (kepuasan kerja, perencanaan pengembangan karir, keikatan pada organisasi , serta tekanan jiwa). Hal tersebut terbukti dari Hasil penelitian ini yang menunjukan bahwa ada tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara employability skills dengan intensitas Turnover yang terjadi di unit Telemarketing PT.EMS Jakarta. Employability Skills bukan hal yang menjadi faktor utama untuk seorang karyawan memutuskan untuk mengundurkan diri (Turnover intention) di perusahaan tersebut. Kata kunci: Employability Skills, Intensitas Turnover.
