Abstract
PT. Surya Toto Indonesia is a company engaged in ceramic sanitary wares and plumbing hardware. One of the obstacles facing the company in production is the high breakdown of LPDC 2 Casting machine type which causes the disruption of production activities. The effect of the breakdown is the decrease in engine speed so that it can affect the production output that has been planned previously. This study aims to measure the overall value of effectiveness on the machine, knowing what factors lead to decreased effectiveness through Six Big Losses measurements and provides recommended improvements to address the underlying causes of reduced engine effectiveness. This study begins by measuring the value of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), then identifying the Six Big Losses and analyzing the causes of the problem of decreasing machine effectiveness. OEE calculation components are availability, performance efficiency and rate of quality. The results showed that the percentage of Availability Value calculation ranged between 90% - 96%, while the percentage of Performance Efficiency value calculation ranged between 37% - 64%, then the result of the calculation of Rate of Quality 96.7% - 99.8%. Then obtained the percentage of calculation value of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) which ranged between 35% - 59%, with an average value of OEE in January to December 2017 that is equal to 47%. This value of effectiveness is relatively rendag because the standard value of OEE for world class company ideally is 85%. While the factor of Six Big Losses most influential on the low effectiveness of the machine is Reduced Speed Losses with a total time loss of 11691 minutes. Surya Toto Indonesia adalah perusahaan yang bergerak dalam bidang ceramic sanitary wares and plumbing hardware. Salah satu hambatan yang dihadapi perusahaan pada produksi ialah tingginya Breakdown mesin Casting type LPDC 2 yang menyebabkan terganggunya kegiatan produksi. Efek dari Breakdown tersebut adalah menurunnya kecepatan mesin sehingga dapat mempengaruhi hasil produksi yang telah direncanakan sebelumnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur nilai keseluruhan efektivitas pada mesin, mengetahui faktor apa yang menyebabkan menurunnya efektivitas melalui pengukuran Six Big Losses dan memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan untuk mengatasi penyebab utama menurunnya efektivitas mesin. Penelitian ini dimulai dengan mengukur nilai dari Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), kemudian mengidentifikasi Six Big Losses dan menganalisa penyebab masalah menurunya efektivitas mesin. Komponen perhitungan OEE adalah availability, performance efficiency dan rate of quality. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil persentase dari perhitungan nilai Availability berkisar antara 90% - 96%, sedangkan hasil persentase dari perhitungan nilai Performance Efficiency berkisar antara 37% - 64%, kemudian hasil dari perhitungan nilai Rate of Quality 96.7% - 99.8%. Lalu diperoleh hasil persentase dari perhitungan nilai Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) yang berkisar antara 35% - 59%, dengan rata-rata nilai OEE pada bulan Januari hingga Desember 2017 yaitu sebesar 47%. Nilai efektivitas ini terbilang rendag karena standar nilai OEE utuk perusahaan kelas dunia idealnya adalah 85%. Sedangkan faktor Six Big Losses yang paling berpengaruh pada rendahnya efektivitas mesin adalah Reduced Speed Losses dengan total time loss sebesar 11691 menit.
