Abstract

PT.Takagi Sari Multi Utama is a manufacturing company engaged in the production of plastic injection for automotive, especially in motorized vehicles, two wheels and four wheels. Customer PT. Takagi Sari Multi Utama include Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing, Astra Honda Motor, Kawasaki Motor Indonesia, Astra Daihatsu Motor, Toyota Astra Motor, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia, Honda Prospect Motor, General Motors and others. In this company, of course the main raw material used is plastic. Valve Liquid is a raw material that is often used because every line of any type on injection molding must use Valve Liquid raw materials. The problem that occurs in this company is always the occurrence of over stock for materials during the injection molding process. The amount of purchase of Valve Liquid raw materials in the company is far greater than the number of users and the high order frequency. The purpose of this study is to obtain optimal conditions for inventory control from the results of comparison of the Q Method and the P Method using the total cost criteria. Data collection was carried out in April 2017- March 2018. From the results of the analysis of the total inventory costs, if the company uses the Q method to control the raw material inventory, the company can save costs of Rp. 194,488,123 or 71%. If the company uses the P method, the cost of inventory incurred increases by Rp. 173,804,120 or 1.63% of the existing costs incurred by the company. Customer PT. Takagi Sari Multi Utama antara lain adalah Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing, Astra Honda Motor, Kawasaki Motor Indonesia, Astra Daihatsu Motor, Toyota Astra Motor, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia, Honda Prospect Motor, General motor dan lain-lain. Pada perusahaan ini tentu nya pesediaan bahan baku utama yang digunakan ialah plastik. Valve Liquid merupakan bahan baku yang sering digunakan karena setiap line nya jenis apapun yang di injection molding pasti menggunakan bahan baku Valve Liquid. Permasalahan yang terjadi di perusahaan ini adalah selalu terjadinya over stock untuk bahan pada saat proses injection molding. Jumlah pembelian bahan baku Valve Liquid di perusahaan jauh lebih besar dibandingkan jumlah pemakaiandan frekuensi pemesanan yang tinggi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memperoleh kondisi optimal pengendalian persediaan dari hasil perbandingan Metode Q dan Metode P menggunakan kriteria total cost. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada bulan April 2017- Maret 2018. Dari hasil analisis pada total biaya persediaan, jika perusahaan menggunakan metode Q untuk mengendalikan persediaan bahan baku, perusahaan dapat menghemat biaya sebesar Rp. 194.488.123 atau 71%. Jika perusahaan menggunakan metode P, biaya persediaan yang dikeluarkan naik Rp. 173.804.120 atau 1,63% dari biaya existing yang dikeluarkan oleh perusahaan.
