Abstract

The importance in making a quality library, which includes the Division of space by the library functions, elements of design, lighting, air circulation space, staining the space and the noise of the room itself. So being able to create an atmosphere that is conducive and comfortable for the user and occupants who were in the room of the library. This research was conducted in the SMK Bangu Nusantara of THIS library, city of Tangerang in the year 2017. The purpose of this research is to determine how the standard dimensions of the quality of the space in the library of SMK Bangun Nusantara in the comfort of the user. This research uses descriptive quantitative approach and conducted by taking samples from the population research. This population is students from SMK Bangun Nusantara based on dimensions of the quality of the space, with the number of respondents 89 people consisting of 16-17 years of age and above 18 years old. The results of research conducted with the measurements can be categorized to fulfill quality less space of the library. Perception of respondents against the convenience of interval for CMS library space quality wake up the archipelago also has not met expected standards of comfort of users. Data based on the results obtained that the library needs to be done so that the quality of redesain/renovated space of the library in accordance with the standards of comfort of users. To be aware of the perceptions of the respondents is in all aspects related to reading and learning in the room of the library, such as: lighting, air circulation, noise and also layouts. Keywords: space library, design elements, lighting, air circulation, noise, layout Pentingnya dalam membuat ruangan perpustakaan yang berkualitas, yang meliputi pembagian ruang oleh fungsi perpustakaan, elemen-elemen desain, sirkulasi udara, pencahayaan ruang, pewarnaan ruang dan kebisingan ruang itu sendiri. Sehingga mampu menciptakan suasana yang kondusif dan nyaman bagi pengguna serta penghuni yang berada didalam ruang perpustakaan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di perpustakaan SMK Bangun Nusantara, Kota Tangerang pada tahun 2017. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah Untuk mengetahui bagaimana dimensi kualitas ruang di perpustakaan SMK Bangun Nusantara dalam memenuhi kenyamanan pengguna. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dan dilakukan dengan mengambil populasi dari sampel penelitian. Populasi ini adalah siswa-siswi dari SMK Bangun Nusantara berdasarkan dimensi kualitas ruang, dengan jumlah responden 89 orang yang terdiri dari usia 16-17 tahun dan diatas 18 tahun. Hasil dari penelitian yang dilakukan dengan pengukuran dapat dikategorikan kurang untuk memenuhi kualitas ruang perpustakaan. Persepsi responden terhadap kenyamanan interval untuk kualitas ruang perpustakaan SMK Bangun Nusantara juga belum memenuhi standar kenyamanan yang diharapkan pengguna. Berdasarkan hasil data yang didapat bahwa ruang perpustakaan perlu dilakukan renovasi / redesain agar kualitas ruang perpustakaan sesuai dengan standar kenyamanan pengguna. Yang harus diperhatikan dari hasil persepsi responden adalah disemua aspek yang berhubungan dengan membaca dan belajar diruang perpustakaan, seperti : pencahayaan, sirkulasi udara, kebisingan dan juga layout.
