Abstract

Student absenteeism, and administration at Muhammadiyah High School 13 Jakarta still use conventional way. So often the loss or damage to the file when it is needed. The use of absentee papers and school administration is not considered to be environmentally friendly, making paper waste everywhere, and the cost of buying paper makes the budget swell. Therefore, this research is done in order to improve the existing system by utilizing information system technology. This research uses Waterfall method in life cycle of software development starting from phase of data collection, system analysis, designing, coding, testing, until implementation. In the analysis phase and system design, this research uses an object-oriented approach methodology that follows coding standards of CodeIgniter Framework with BlackBox testing. Implementation of the system is done on the Academic Information System (SIAKAD) SMA Muhammadiyah 13 Jakarta. The result of research is Academic Information System Website that can be used by Teachers, Officers of TU, and Students to perform absenteeism and administration economically, effectively and efficiently. Keywords : CodeIgniter, Academic Information System, Waterfall Kegiatan absensi siswa, dan administrasi pada Sekolah Menengah Atas Muhammadiyah 13 Jakarta masih menggunakan cara konfensional. Sehingga kerap terjadi kehilangan atau rusaknya berkas tersebut pada saat sedang dibutuhkan. Pemakaian kertas absensi dan administrasi sekolah tersebut pun dianggap tidak ramah terhadap lingkungan, membuat sampah kertas dimanamana, dan biaya untuk membeli kertas membuat anggaran menjadi membengkak. Oleh karena itu adanya penelitian ini dilakukan guna untuk memperbaiki sitem yang ada dengan memanfaatkan teknologi sistem informasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Waterfall dalam siklus hidup pengembangan perangkat lunak yang dimulai dari fase pengumpulan data, analisa sistem, perancangan, pengkodean, pengujian, hingga implementasi. Pada fase analisa dan desain sistem, penelitian ini menggunakan sebuah metodologi pendekatan berorientasi objek yang mengikuti standar pengkodean Framework CodeIgniter dengan pengujian BlackBox. Implementasi sistem dilakukan pada Sistem Informasi Akademik (SIAKAD) SMA Muhammadiyah 13 Jakarta. Hasil penelitian berupa Website Sistem Informasi Akademik yang dapat digunakan oleh Guru, Petugas TU, dan Siswa untuk melakukan absensi dan administrasi secara ekonomis, efektif dan efisiens.
