Abstract

PT. APM is a company engaged in services and business consultants. As the number of corporate clients increases, more projects are accepted and must be completed on time. PT. APM has limited resources, therefore it is necessary to allocate resources appropriately so that all projects can be maintained in quality. Until now, project management is still using Microsoft Excel application with non-centralized data to record the start date of the project until the completion of the project and the staff involved in the project so that there are often differences in data. Sometimes results in poor resource allocation, lack of data integration so that the presentation of project management information is less accurate. The purpose of this study is to design and build a project management information system for the accounting division in accordance with business processes at PT. APM. This research method using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in the form of waterfall model. Mockup Screen is used for the design of this web-based E-project management interface. The design is then implemented using the Java programming language and MySQL database server. The results of the research project management information system that has met the needs of the division of accounting at PT. APM, including resource allocation, project documentation and invoice creation. Keywords: project management, client, accounting and resource PT. APM merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang jasa dan konsultan bisnis. Semakin bertambahnya jumlah client perusahaan, semakin banyak pula project yang diterima dan harus diselesaikan tepat waktu. PT. APM memiliki sumber daya yang terbatas, untuk itu perlu dilakukan alokasi sumber daya dengan tepat agar semua proyek dapat terjaga kualitasnya. Hingga saat ini, pengelolaan project masih menggunakan aplikasi Microsoft Excel dengan data yang tidak terpusat untuk mencatat tanggal mulai project hingga selesainya project serta staff yang terlibat di dalam project sehingga sering terjadi perbedaan data. Hal tersebut terkadang mengakibatkan alokasi sumber daya kurang tepat, tidak adanya integrasi data sehingga penyajian informasi manajemen project kurang akurat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah merancang dan membangun sistem informasi manajemen project untuk divisi accounting yang sesuai dengan proses bisnis di PT. APM. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) berupa model waterfall. Mockup Screen digunakan untuk rancangan antarmuka E-project management berbasis web ini. Rancangan tersebut kemudian diimplementasikan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Java dan database server MySQL. Hasil penelitian berupa sistem informasi project management yang telah memenuhi kebutuhan divisi accounting pada PT. APM, diantaranya adalah alokasi sumber daya, dokumentasi project dan pembuatan invoice. Kata kunci: project management, client, accounting dan sumber daya
