Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is influence of teacher competence and achievement motivation on teacher performance in SMAN 101 West Jakarta. The approach taken in this research is quantitative approach. Respondents in this research are fifty five teachers who teach at SMAN 101 West Jakarta. With this, the sample selection technique used is the census. Teacher competence was measured using a scale of 47 items, for achievement motivation measured using a scale of 18 items and teacher performance measured using a scale of 33 items. This study used multiple linear regression to determine the influence of teacher competence and achievement motivation on teacher performance. The results showed that there is a significant influence between teacher competence and achievement motivation on teacher performance. With R Square value of 0.978 and a significance value of 0.000, which means the influence of teacher competence and achievement motivation on teacher performance is very influential. Keywords: Teacher Competence, Achievement Motivation, Teacher Performance Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh kompetensi guru dan motivasi berprestasi terhadap kinerja guru di SMAN 101 Jakarta Barat. Pendekatan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. Responden dalam penelitian ini sebanyak lima puluh lima guru yang mengajar di SMAN 101 Jakarta Barat. Dengan ini, teknik pemilihan sampel yang digunakan adalah sensus. Kompetensi guru diukur menggunakan skala yang terdiri dari 47 item, untuk motivasi berprestasi diukur menggunakan skala yang terdiri dari 18 item dan kinerja guru diukur menggunakan skala yang terdiri dari 33 item. Penelitian ini menggunakan regresi linear berganda untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi guru dan motivasi berprestasi terhadap kinerja guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara kompetensi guru dan motivasi berprestasi terhadap kinerja guru. Dengan nilai R Square sebesar 0,978 dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000, yang berarti pengaruh kompetensi guru dan motivasi berprestasi terhadap kinerja guru sangat berpengaruh.
