Abstract
Acrylic is a sheet-shaped synthetic material or sheet, acrylic has properties that are classified as solid, hard and strong with such properties are very well used for various display products, letter embossed letter, various shelves, signage, etc. . If the bird cage is usually made of wood, then to give the impression of an exclusive and different from the usual cage, then now present an acrylic bird cage for Canary Bird Cages made of acrylic created a look of design that looks sturdy and elegant and extensional when the bird is hanged at home or in the contest arena. The concept of the look and shape of the canary birdcage made of acrylic material that makes the author interested to do research in terms of production process in producing these cage products. Its production process includes design ideas on products, cage sizes, tools and materials on which makes the acrylic canary cage more innovative, unique and novel. Keywords: Acrylic, Birdcage, Canary Bird, Product Design Akrilik merupakan bahan syntesis yang berbentuk lembaran atau sheet , akrilik mempunyai sifat yang tergolong benda padat, keras dan kuat dengan sifat tersebut sangat baik digunakan untuk berbagai macam produk display, letter huruf timbul, aneka rak, signage, dll. . Bila biasanya sangkar burung terbuat dari kayu, maka untuk memberikan kesan eksklusif dan berbeda dari sangkar biasanya, maka kini hadir sangkar burung akrilik untuk burung Kenari Sangkar burung Kenari berbahan akrilik menciptakan tampilan bentuk desain yang terlihat kokoh dan elegan dan ekstetik pada saat burung digantung dirumah maupun di arena kontes. Konsep tampilan dan bentuk dari sangkar burung Kenari terbuat dari bahan akrilik yang membuat penulis tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian dari segi proses produksi dalam menghasilkan produk sangkar tersebut. Proses produksi nya meliputi ide desain pada produk, ukuran sangkar, alat dan material pada yang membuat sangkar burung kenari akrilik menjadi lebih inovativ, unik dan mengandung unsur kebaruan.
