Abstract

This research is focus on compensation and work motivation against employees in X Hotel. Research is using Quantitative approach with survey method (Questionnaire) by obtain data from employee of Hotel X in Tangerang City. According with SPSS version 22 test results, number of respondent for this research is 68 respondents with probability sampling method basis. Based on questioner result, we found 38 male and 30 female respondents. Compensation is measured by scale with 9 items which have reliability value 0.832 and work motivation is measured by scale with 15 items which have reliability value 0.793. The result of research shows that there is positive correlation between compensation variable and work motivation variable, with person correlation value 0.161. Hence, result of research is concluded that there is relation between compensation variable and work motivation variable in Hotel X. Keywords : Compensation, Motivation Penelitian ini difokuskan pada kompensasi dan motivasi kerja pada karyawan di Hotel X. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode survey (kuesioner), data didapatkan dari karyawan di Hotel X Kota Tangerang. Berdasarkan pengujian dengan menggunakan SPSS versi 22 responden yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 68 responden berdasarkan metode probability sampling. Berdasarkan data penelitian dari hasil kuesioner, diperoleh data pada jenis kelamin laki-laki yaitu 38 orang dan jumlah responden pada jenis kelamin perempuan yaitu 30 orang. Kompensasi diukur menggunakan skala yang terdiri dari 9 item yang memiliki nilai reliabilitas sebesar 0.832 dan Motivasi kerja diukur menggunakan skala yang terdiri 15 item yang memiliki nilai reliabilitas sebesar 0.793. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat korelasi positif antara variabel kompensasi dan motivasi kerja, dengan nilai person correlation sebesar 0.161. Oleh karena itu, hasil penelitian menyimpulkan ada hubungan antara kompensasi dan motivasi kerja pada karyawan di Hotel X. Kata kunci : Kompensasi, Motivasi.
