Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between Self Esteem and Employability Skills in college employee class at Mercubuana University of Jakarta. The research method is quantitative with total sample of 371 college employee class in Mercubuana University of Jakarta and insindental sampling was used. The measuring instrument of Self-esteem based on Self Esteem Scale from (Rosenberg, 1965) and Employability Skills based on Scans Skills Asessment (Roberts T. Jones, 2000). Each scale have reability score 0.823 for Self Esteem and 0.933 for Employability Score. The results of this study indicate that the correlation coefficient is 0.334 with a significance of 0.000 < 0.05, that’s mean there is a significant relationship between Self Esteem and Employability Skills in college employee class at Mercubuana University of Jakarta. Keywords: Self Esteem, Employability Skills, College Employee Class Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji hubungan antara Self Esteem dan Employability Skills pada mahasiswa kelas karyawan di Universitas Mercubuana Jakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif, dengan total sampel 371 mahasiswa kelas karyawan di Unversitas Mercubuana dengan menggunakan insidental sampling. Self Esteem diukur menggunakan skala Self Esteem yang dikemukakan oleh (Rosenberg, 1965) dan Employability Skills diukur menggunakan Scans Skills Asessment (Roberts, Lynn, & dkk, 2000).Masing-masing skala memiliki nilai reabilitas 0.823 untuk Self Esteem dan 0.933 untuk Employability Skills. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan nilai koefisiensi korelasi sebesar 0.318 dengan signifikansi 0.000 < 0.05, artinya terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara Self Esteem dengan Employability Skills pada mahasiswa kelas karyawan di Universitas Mercubuana Jakarta.
