Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out whether there is a relationship between Self-Esteem and Online Game Addiction to students of X Vocational School in Tangerang Regency. Subjects in this study were students of class X and XI with a population of 589 and a total sample of 238 students. data obtained using quantitative correlative quantitative method with probability sampling and stratified sampling techniques for sampling. The data analysis technique used is Pearson correlation analysis with the results obtained for 0,033 with p value 0.05. Based on the results of hypothesis testing in this study it can be seen that (r = 0,033, p <0.05) which means that there is a negative relationship between Self-Esteem and Online Game addiction in students of X Vocational School in Tangerang Regency. Keywords: Online Game Addiction, Self-Esteem. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara Self-Esteem dengan Kecanduan Game Online pada siswa SMK X di Kabupaten Tangerang. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMK kelas X dan XI dengan populasi sebanyak 589 dan jumlah sampel sebanyak 238 siswa. data yang diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskrptif korelasional dengan teknik probability sampling dan stratified sampling untuk pengambilan sampel. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis korelasi Pearson dengan hasil yang diperoleh sebesar 0,033 dengan p value 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis pada penelitian ini terlihat bahwa (r = 0,033, p<0,05) yang berarti bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif antara Self-Esteem dengan kecanduan Game Online pada siswa SMK X di Kabupaten Tangerang. Kata Kunci : Kecanduan Game Online, Self-Esteem.
