Abstract

UKM Radio Mercu Buana is one of the non-academic activities units located within the campus of Mercu Buana University, which is under the auspices of the Direktorat Kemahasiswaan. UKM Radio Mercu Buana every new academic year always open the registration of new members, and one of the activity units that quite a lot of devotees, in the process of admission of new members, the registration procedure still using manual method that is by using paper and sms forms as information notification media. The obstacles encountered are the frequent form of damaged and sms delivery that is not until kepeserta. Information system application during this new member recruitment activity become solution for committee and also participant in doing registration and also get information only on android smartphone. The method used in this application is Waterfall Method. The results of this application is the participants to register via android smartphone, the committee sends information without sms, and participants can ask the application. Keywords : Radio Mercu Buana, New Member Reception, Android Smartphone, Information System UKM Radio Mercu Buana adalah salah satu unit kegiatan non akademik yang berada didalam kampus Universitas Mercu Buana, yang di naungi oleh Direktorat Kemahasiswaan. UKM Radio Mercu Buana setiap tahun ajaran baru selalu membuka pendaftaran anggota baru, dan salah satu unit kegiatan yang cukup banyak peminatnya, dalam proses penerimaan anggota baru, tata cara pendaftaran masih menggunakan metode manual yaitu dengan cara menggunakan formulir kertas dan sms sebagai media pemberitahuan informasi. Kendala yang dihadapi adalah seringnya formulir yang rusak dan pengiriman sms yang tak sampai kepeserta. Aplikasi sistem informasi selama kegiatan penerimaan anggota baru ini menjadi solusi untuk panitia dan juga peserta dalam melakukan pendaftaran dan juga mendapatkan informasi hanya pada smartphone android. Metode yang dipakai pada aplikasi ini adalah Metode Waterfall. Hasil aplikasi ini yaitu para peserta melakukan pendaftaran melalui smartphone android, panitia mengirimkan informasi tanpa sms, dan peserta dapat bertanya pada aplikasi tersebut.
