Abstract

Paper. Jakarta: Faculty of Computer Science, Mercu Buana University. 2018. Department of Informatics Engineering in the Faculty of Computer Science Mercu Buana University is located in Jakarta Province. The use of internet in the Department of Informatics Engineering currently has a very high mobility, both used for browsing information, download data, and use of other internet facilities. For that bandwith management required to manage ever passing data, so the distribution of bandwith becomes evenly using of Queue Tree method applied to MikroTi. In this research, a comparison analysis with Queue Tree and PCQ (Peer Connection Queue) method is used to optimize internet bandwith. Analysis of QoS (Quality of Service) internet bandwith management used Queue Tree and PCQ (Peer Connection Queue) in terms of throughput, packet loss, jitter, and delay. The results of this research indicate that the quality of the network by using Queue Tree and PCQ is more optimal. It is showed that the bandwith will be divided according to the rules applied to bandwith management and does not cause the client to fight each other for bandwith. Program studi Teknik Informatika di Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Universitas Mercu Buana terletak di Provinsi DKI Jakarta. Penggunaan internet di Jurusan Teknik Informatika saat ini memiliki mobilitas yang sangat tinggi, baik digunakan untuk mencari informasi, mengunduh data, dan menggunakan fasilitas internet lainnya. Maka dari itu, manajemen bandwidth diperlukan untuk mengelola data, sehingga distribusi bandwith menjadi merata menggunakan metode Queue Tree yang diterapkan pada MikroTik. Dalam penelitian ini, analisis perbandingan dengan metode Queue Tree dan PCQ (Peer Connection Queue) digunakan untuk mengoptimalkan bandwidth internet. Analisis QoS (Quality of Service) manajemen bandwidth internet menggunakan Queue Tree dan PCQ (Peer Connection Queue) dalam hal throughput, packet loss, jitter, dan delay. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kualitas jaringan dengan menggunakan Queue Tree dan PCQ lebih optimal. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa bandwith akan dibagi sesuai dengan aturan yang diterapkan pada manajemen bandwidth dan tidak menyebabkan klien saling bertarung untuk bandwith. Kata Kunci— Bandwith, Quality of Service, Queue Tree, Peer Connection Queue.
