Abstract
The purpose of this study is to describe how romantic relationship quality takes shape in gay couple that is in cohabiting relationship at Jakarta. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Subjects in this study are 2 people, which is a couple, with some criterias: a) couples whose sexual orientation is gay, b) in a cohabitation relationship with a minimum of 1 year old relationship, and c) lives and work at Jakarta. The data obtained uses semi-structured interview method. The analytical approach used is content analysis which is in-depth discussion of the content of written information. Achievement of credibility of research done by triangulation technique of source (informant). The analysis results shown that each individuals has all the dimensions of romantic relationship quality, the difference lies with their behavior which emerges differs with each individual. Keywords: romantic relationship quality, gay couples, cohabitation Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana gambaran kualitas hubungan romantis pada pasangan kohabitasi dengan orientasi seksual gay di Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 2 orang, sebuah pasangan, dengan beberapa kriteria: a) pasangan dengan orientasi seksual gay, b) sedang dalam sebuah hubungan kohabitasi selama minimum 1 tahun, dan c) tinggal dan bekerja di Jakarta. Data yang diperoleh menggunakan metode wawancara semi terstruktur. Pendekatan analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis isi (content analysis) yang bersifat pembahasan mendalam terhadap isi suatu informasi tertulis. Pencapaian kredibilitas penelitian dilakukan dengan teknik triangulasi sumber (informan). Hasil analisa data menunjukkan adanya dimensi-dimensi pada kualitas hubungan romantis pada kedua subjek, perbedaannya terletak pada perilaku berbeda yang muncul pada setiap individu. Kata Kunci: kualitas hubungan romantis, pasangan gay, kohabitasi.
